Signature Hospice Fulfills the Dying Wish of Two Hearts in Everlasting Love; Pending Doctor's Approval, Two Seniors Will Meet for Final Goodbye
If physicians say he can travel, on Friday February 9th, Signature Hospice will fulfill the final wish of hospice patient, Joe Haines and his dear old friend, Ruth Meyer. They want to see each other one last time and Signature Hospice is taking steps to making it happen. \"We are so excited to be able to connect two dear friends at a time when they need each other the most,\" said Trey Malicoat, President of Signature Hospice. In a partnership effort, Signature Hospice solicited the support of American Medical Response, who has donated to transport Joe Haines from South Salem Rehab to Marian Estates in Sublimity, Ore. to see Ruth Meyers. The two will exchange tokens of love and heartfelt letters. If the meeting is not possible, Signature Hospice will arrange a conference call and have two Signature Hospice volunteers at Ruth's and Joe's bedside for the gift exchange. They will also read the couple's last letters to them out loud.
