Former NCC chief to speak at commencement
2015
Wilde, of Chicago, served as North Central's ninth president, from 1991 to 2012. The 2015 class of graduating seniors spent their first full year as students during Wilde's final year as president. Wilde received his undergraduate degree with high honors from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and a doctorate in government from Harvard University. A native of Wisconsin, he served several years in state government, including four as insurance commissioner. He was special assistant to the president of the University of Wisconsin System and vice president for external relations at Beloit College, where he served before being named North Central College's president.

[Hal R. Jensen] was a life-long member of the Boy Scouts of America and was a Silver Beaver recipient. He could work on his own cars - a skill he learned from his father. Hal enjoyed camping, fishing, and working with youth. He loved his family and enjoyed doing things with all of them. Hal will be remembered as a great husband, father and friend.

Most of the X-ray films in York Hospital and Gettysburg Hospital have been replaced with digital images. The images can be viewed on computers, which allows more doctors to access them quickly. The Picture Archiving Communication System, called PACS, is part of WellSpan Health's $40 million, five-to-seven year imaging project involving equipment, facilities and personnel. WellSpan includes York and Gettysburg hospitals. At Memorial, employees are using digital archiving but still printing films, said Josette Myers, hospital spokeswoman. By the end of March, Memorial plans to be completely digital, Myers said.

Mr. Dean was born in Mitchell, S.D., in 1916 and attended Grinnell College in Iowa, graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics. He joined Ralston Purina as a clerk in the grain department at Checkerboard Square in 1938. \"[R. Hal Dean] was a man of expansive ideas,\" Dr. William H. Danforth, a former director of Ralston Purina, said in a statement. \"As an active CEO of Ralston Purina Co., he was always looking for new approaches. ... He will be missed by his friends and the many institutions he supported.\" Mr. Dean was active in civic life while with Ralston Purina, as in the company's redevelopment of the LaSalle Park neighborhood. One of his biggest civic moves was Ralston Purina's purchase of a St. Louis Blues on the brink of the team's economic collapse in 1977. The company also purchased the Arena, soon renamed the Checkerdome.
