why she loves it: As an agent and publicist for local actors, Ms. [Alisa Harris] finds several uses for her digital camcorder, including editing clip reels for clients. \"If they give me VCR tapes of shows they've done, I can run them through my camcorder and load it onto my computer, so everything has a backup,\" she said. Once loaded onto her G4, Ms. Harris uses Final Cut Pro software to edit the clips into one reel. She uses her Handycam as an interface between her computer and VCR to save the reels onto videotapes.

BIT OF PCE FOUND IN 2 TOPTON WELLS
Levels of perchloroethylene, or PCE, found in the wells a half- mile north of Caloric Corp. were below the state limit, according to Alisa Harris, a DER spokeswoman. The DER sampled 32 wells July 1 and 2 to determine if they were contaminated with PCE and chromium. Results of chromium tests are not yet available, said Harris. When the chromium results are in, DER officials will try to determine the source of the chemicals, do additional sampling and work with Caloric to clean up the site, said Harris.
TOXIC CHEMICALS FOUND IN WELL AT TOPTON HOME
Low levels of chromium and perchloroethylene, or PCE, were found in a well on Main Street northwest of Caloric Corp. in Longswamp Township, according to Alisa Harris, a DER spokeswoman. On Monday and Tuesday, DER officials took water samples from about 32 residential wells in an area one-half mile north of Caloric, Harris said. Testing of the samples for PCE should be finished early next week, while the chromium tests will take several days longer, said Harris.
See if the shoe fits in fun Cinderella
So far, cast members are getting a big kick out of their job. At last week's rehearsal, the fairy godmother, Alisa Harris, was pushed across the stage on skates by one of her fairy assistants. Yes, the godmother wears skates, and in this version, she rules over two mischievous assistants. Director Mark Butterfuss started the company to provide theater for children performed by professional actors. Mr. Butterfuss chose Cinderella as the first play of Seagull's second season because it sticks to the original version of Cinderella closely enough that the characters and plot are familiar to children, but it's even more lighthearted.
Readers share some not-so- pleasant memories of summer camp
At Boy Scout camp, we each were expected to cook one whole meal for the troop over a blazing campfire - an exercise guaranteed to build our character and self-reliance and earn us the Cooking merit badge. Smelly situation Lots of women have warm, fuzzy memories of Camp Pretty Pond, a Girl Scout facility that used to be in the southern end of New Hanover County.
