Cameo Blues Band clocks 10,000 Hours
After 33 years on the go, the Cameo Blues Band carries some clout. They will play songs from their latest CD, 10,000 Hours (makeitrealrecords.com ), when they return to the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Port Credit Blues & Jazz Festival on Sunday, Sept. 9. The band formed in 1979, taking its name from the Cameo Lounge at Toronto's Hotel Isabella. \"We were a house band. I think we just wanted to do our own contemporary version of the blues,\" said local guitarist and co-founder John Bride.
