Pennsylvania Grand Jury Urges Ouster of Justice
1993
Quoting from the report, Mr. [Ernest D. Preate Jr.] said the grand jury \"strongly recommends that the legislature and the Judicial Conduct Board review our findings and take appropriate action, including the possible removal of Justice [Rolf Larsen] from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.\" 'Must Now Be Removed' \"I agree,\" he continued, \"the combined weight of the evidence contained in the grand jury presentment and report lead to one inescapable conclusion: Justice Larsen must now be removed from office. Unless he resigns forthwith, I will recommend to the legislature that they institute impeachment proceedings immediately.\" \"The grand jury has found that there is no credible evidence supporting any of the allegations of criminal conduct set forth in Justice Larsen's petition,\" the report said. \"The investigation has revealed misconduct by Justice Larsen of the most serious kind.\"
