Riverside man sentenced to life for cold case murder of mother of three
2015
\"I can't explain how hard it was for me and my sister to sit through the trial,\" [Yoakum] read. \"Being in the same courtroom listening to all the things my mom went through before he murdered her, hurts me. During the trial I saw him smile, laugh and joke while I sat quietly there listening about the last moments of my mom's life and how her blood was on his clothes. He showed no remorse, he isn't sorry for murdering her. ... I pray that you see he has no business on the street and belongs behind bars for the rest of his life and it is clear that he has done evil things too many times. Please your Honor do not let him ruin anyone else's life. He is a real life monster.\"

Changing the game
2012
Ask Larry Hite how he became the most successful commodity trader of his generation and he will say it is because he always expected to fail. In his early years Hite stumbled in almost every endeavour before finding his calling as a trader and money manager. One of the characteristics that set Hite apart from many traders is his willingness to admit mistakes and take losses. Losing money is a fact of life in the financial markets, he says. At 71 years of age Hite has lost none of his enthusiasm for trading and managing money. He does this because he enjoys it, he says. He gets a kick out of inventing ways to make money in the markets. Hite co-founded Mint Investment Management in 1981 with Peter Matthews, a statistician who started trading futures while studying for his PhD at the American University in Washington, DC. Hite's philosophy has not changed in the 30 years since he established Mint. His catchphrase is still \"respect for risk\".

He has a mellow personality, which is rare for a puppy. He's very playful, housebroken and has manners. Who ever gets him is going to get a wonderful dog.\" \"He has so much energy and loves to play,\" said Chris Stein who is now fostering the injured puppy. \"When you watch him play you realize that he doesn't even know he had this injury. And, on top of that, he is highly intelligent.\"
