Virtual packaging model construction of visual images for visual communication in the context of modern information convergence
2024
With the rapid development of the times, new tools are constantly appearing in visual communication design, such as the use of image packaging in visual communication. In order to speed up the transmission speed of visual images, ensure the integrity of visual images, and solve the transmission effect during visual communication. In this paper, based on the modern information fusion context, the object visualization image virtual packaging for model construction, the introduction of MOEA/D algorithm, the decomposition technique to decompose the MOP problem into a series of subproblems to solve, the use of weight vectors to obtain the neighbors of each subproblem, followed by the calculation of neighbor subproblems, the division of individuals into segments to obtain the child individuals. Finally, the fitness of each offspring individual was calculated and cut to give the final level of each factor. The final calculation of the proportion of images in different media communication from the MOEA/D algorithm leads to the strategy of using image virtual packaging in visual communication design. The experimental results showed that by means of multiple control groups, the experimental group achieved a 30% correct rate for Q3 and Q9 quiz questions, and the experimental group had a significantly greater correct rate than the control group. Therefore, more design concepts and design thinking can be explored through the study and analysis of image virtualization to help the use of image virtual packaging in visual communication design work.

Graphic Composition Art of Packaging Visual Communication Design Based on VR
2022
Visual communication is a popular art form that aids in the transmission of information and reflects people’s aesthetic preferences. In visual communication, the graphic element is an important combination element that plays a key role. Virtual reality (VR) technology will become more widely used as computer technology advances and network applications become more popular. As a result, research into VR technology generation and application in packaging design will aid in the popularization and application of VR technology, as well as the advancement of product packaging design. The application of graphic composition art in packaging visual communication design is investigated in this paper. This paper introduces the basic concepts and characteristics of virtual reality (VR), as well as the development and application fields of VR technology, based on the current state of virtual panorama development at home and abroad. It also provides advice and recommendations on graphic creativity in VR technology packaging design, as well as the symbol of graphic creativity and the value of graphic composition art in packaging visual communication design.

A multi-objective Monarch Butterfly Algorithm for virtual machine placement in cloud computing
2021
The growing demand for cloud computing adoption presents more challenges for researchers to make cloud computing more efficient and affordable for infrastructure providers and end users. The management of cloud computing involves investing in IT infrastructure in the first phase and investing in energy, maintenance and space costs in the second phase. However, energy costs account for a large portion of cloud management costs, and saving energy consumption can significantly reduce overall cloud management costs. Server consolidation is a strategy to improve data center energy efficiency and resource utilization. Virtual machine (VM) placement is considered one of the main problems with VM consolidation. The VM placement problem aims to reduce the number of active physical machines in data center to reduce data center power consumption and maintenance costs. However, the waste of data center resources has a significant impact on the energy efficiency of the data center, so it should be considered in the VM placement strategy. This paper proposes a new method based on the Monarch Butterfly Optimization algorithm (MBO) called MBO-VM for new virtual machine placement, designed to maximize packaging efficiency and reduce the number of active physical servers. CloudSim toolkit is used to test the efficiency of the proposed MBO-VM approach under real cloud workloads as well as synthetic workloads. Simulation results show that MBO-VM produces significantly better results compared with known VM placement techniques. The proposed MBO-VM can reduce the number of active servers more effectively and maximize the packaging efficiency.

This study examines the effects of the plain packaging policy implemented in Türkiye, analyzing how different demographic groups perceive health warnings on cigarette packaging. Employing advanced eye-tracking technology, the research identifies distinct visual attention patterns between smokers and non-smokers when exposed to ‘Anxiety’ and ‘Disturbing’ visual cues. Detailed metrics, including fixation counts, durations, and saccade amplitudes, are used to measure and analyze the responses of these groups to the health warnings. The findings reveal that non-smokers significantly focus more on textual warnings, suggesting that text-based elements are more impactful for this group. Conversely, smokers tend to either avoid or become desensitized to disturbing imagery. Additionally, the study finds that female participants exhibit higher saccade amplitudes compared to males, indicating a more thorough examination of the packaging. This gender-specific difference is especially pronounced in their responses to ‘Disturbing’ images, where females show greater engagement, pointing to an increased sensitivity to such stimuli. These insights not only advance our understanding of effective health communication but also underscore the importance of designing public health interventions that cater to the unique responses of different demographic groups. This research significantly enriches the field of tobacco control, providing evidence-based strategies to enhance the effectiveness of visual warnings, thereby supporting targeted smoking cessation efforts.

Visualization Display System of Gannan Hakka Paper-Cut Works Based on Computer Graphics Algorithm
2022
Today, computer graphics and graphic image processing techniques have been widely used in daily life and industrial production. Due to the development of computers, computer graphics has brought more convenience to our daily life. In order to give full play to the value of computers, this paper takes the Hakka paper-cut art with local characteristics as the starting point, first of all its development history, artistic characteristics, compositional forms, expression techniques, cultural connotations, Hakka paper-cut patterns, and the symbolic meaning of folk customs, and then we design a visualization system for the paper-cut works of Gannan Hakka based on computer graphics. In addition, the system provides a solution for the integration of Gannan Hakka paper-cut art and Jiangxi native product packaging design and provides a reference for the theory and practice of modern native product packaging design.

Promoting Healthier Drinking Habits: Using Sound to Encourage the Choice for Non-Alcoholic Beers in E-Commerce
2021
Important institutions, such as the World Health Organization, recommend reducing alcohol consumption by encouraging healthier drinking habits. This could be achieved, for example, by employing more effective promotion of non-alcoholic beverages. For such purposes, in this study, we assessed the role of experiential beer packaging sounds during the e-commerce experience of a non-alcoholic beer (NAB). Here, we designed two experiments. Experiment 1 evaluated the influence of different experiential beer packaging sounds on consumers’ general emotions and sensory expectations. Experiment 2 assessed how the sounds that evoked more positive results in Experiment 1 would influence emotions and sensory expectations related to a NAB digital image. The obtained results revealed that a beer bottle pouring sound helped suppress some of the negativity that is commonly associated with the experience of a NAB. Based on such findings, brands and organizations interested in more effectively promoting NAB may feel encouraged to involve beer packaging sounds as part of their virtual shopping environments.
