Influencing Factors of Acceptance and Use Behavior of Mobile Health Application Users: Systematic Review

Purpose/Significance: Mobile health applications provide a convenient way for users to obtain health information and services. Studying the factors that influence users’ acceptance and use of mobile health applications (apps or Apps) will help to improve users’ actual usage behavior. Method/Process: Based on the literature review method and using the Web of Science core database as the data source, this paper summarizes the relevant research results regarding the influencing factors of the acceptance and use behavior of mobile health application users and makes a systematic review of the influencing factors from the perspectives of the individual, society, and application (app or App) design. Result/Conclusion: In terms of the individual dimension, the users’ behavior is influenced by demographic characteristics and motivations. Social attributes, source credibility, and legal issues all affect user behavior in the social dimension. In the application design dimension, functionality, perceived ease of use and usefulness, security, and cost are the main factors. At the end of the paper, suggestions are given to improve the users’ acceptability of mobile health applications and improve their use behavior.

Purpose: Human factors play an inevitable role in maintenance activities, and the occurrence of Human Errors (HEs) affects system reliability and safety, equipment performance and economic results. The high HE rate increased researchers' attention towards Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) and HE assessment approaches. In these approaches, various environmental and individual factors influence the performance of maintenance operators affecting Human Error Probability (HEP) with a consequent variability in the success of intervention. However, a deep analysis of such factors in the maintenance field, often called Performance Shaping Factors (PSFs), is still missing. This has led the authors to systematically evaluate the literature on Human Error in Maintenance (HEM) and on the PSFs, in order to provide a shared PSF taxonomy. Design/methodology/approach: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted to identify and select peer-reviewed papers that provided evidence on the relationship between maintenance activities and human performance. The obtained results provided a wide overview in the field of interest, shedding light on three main research areas of investigation: methodologies for human error analysis in maintenance, performance shaping factors and maintenance error consequences. In particular, papers belonging to the area of PSFs were analysed in-depth in order to identify and classify the PSFs, with the aim of achieving the PSF taxonomy for maintenance activities. The effects of each PSF on human reliability were defined and detailed. Findings: A total of 63 studies were selected and then analysed through a systematic methodology. 46% of these studies presented a qualitative/quantitative assessment of PSFs through application in different maintenance activities. Starting from the findings of the aforementioned papers, a PSF taxonomy specific for maintenance activities was proposed. This taxonomy represents an important contribution for researchers and practitioners towards the improvement of HRA methods and their applications in industrial maintenance. Originality/value: The analysis outlines the relevance of considering HEM because different error types occur during the maintenance process with non-negligible effects on the system. Despite a growing interest in HE assessment in maintenance, a deep analysis of PSFs in this field and a shared PSF taxonomy are missing. This paper fills the gap in the literature with the creation of a PSF taxonomy in industrial maintenance. The proposed taxonomy is a valuable contribution for growing the awareness of researchers and practitioners about factors influencing maintainers' performance.

NH3 release during the evaporation of different types of atmospheric precipitation: A case study in Changchun, China

and be released again. The northeastern region of China experiences diverse precipitation types, making the study of the NH
3
release flux and its influencing factors during evaporation highly significant. In this study, precipitation samples of haze (HZ), dust (DS), convective (CC), and monsoon (MN) events were collected three times in Changchun from March to September 2024 (a total of twelve rain events), and indoor simulation evaporation experiments were conducted. The results revealed significant differences in the NH

+
conversion rate (

), NH

release flux (

) and release rate (

) across the precipitation types (

flux released from precipitation evaporation was 20.33 µg/m

NH3 release during the snow evaporation process in typical cities in Northeast China

is the most important alkaline gas in the atmosphere and functions as a precursor to secondary ammonium salts. Therefore, identifying its sources and quantifying its emissions is imperative. NH
4
+
represents a principal component of atmospheric particulate pollutants. As particulate matter acts as a condensation nucleus for wet deposition, the NH
4
+
concentrations in precipitation are typically elevated. During the evaporation process of wet deposition, NH
4
+
is likely to be re-emitted as a gas (NH
3
). In Northeast China, heavy and frequent snowfall occurs, making it crucial to elucidate the NH
3
release flux and the factors influencing this release during the snow evaporation process in representative cities of this region. This study collected snow samples from five notable snowfall events in Changchun, Jilin Province that occurred from November 2023 to March 2024, to conduct indoor simulated evaporation experiments (among them, the actual phase changes of two snowfall events consisted mainly of evaporation, whereas those of the other three events consisted mainly of sublimation). The results indicated that during the snow evaporation process, the average ratio (
R
) of NH
4
+
re-emitted as NH
3
was 39.28 ± 12.07%. The average release flux (
F
) was 1624.58 ± 2064.5 μg/m
2
, and the average release rate (
V
) was 361.33 ± 465.31 ng/(m
2
·s). Within the 100-m atmospheric boundary layer, the total NH
3
flux that was released subsequently during the evaporation of all snowfall events in Changchun during the study period was 46.97 mg/m
2
. The average release flux for individual snowfall events was 688.66 μg/m
2
, which constituted approximately 2.44% of the NH
3
concentration documented in the winter atmosphere of Changchun. During the snow evaporation or sublimation process,
R
was positively correlated with the environmental temperature (
P
< 0.05) and negatively correlated with both the environmental wind speed and snowfall amount (
P
< 0.05). Significant variations in
R
were observed across multiple functional areas, which were ranked in descending order as follows: commercial areas (
R
= 26.16%), residential areas (
R
= 22.01%), cultural and educational areas (
R
= 20.7%), and industrial areas (
R
= 18.01%). The influence of a snow-melting agent (NaCl) on the conversion rate of NH
3
initially increased but then subsequently decreased as the dose increased. The lowest measured value (
R
= 22.02%) was 0 mg/L, whereas the peak measured value (
R
= 30.31%) was attained at a concentration of 200 mg/L. The findings of this research are important for illuminating the cycling process of NH
3
in the atmosphere and for the comprehensive management of air quality.

Analyzing Factors Influencing Student Achievement: A Financial and Agricultural Perspective Using SPSS Statistical Analysis Software

This study delves into the multifaceted realm of student achievement, investigating the factors that influence academic performance through a comprehensive modeling analysis. Employing the renowned SPSS Statistical Analysis Software, we explore the intricate interplay between various determinants and student success. In a unique fusion of financial and agricultural perspectives, we dissect the potential impact of these factors on academic outcomes. The data for this study was gathered from a private upper elementary school in Florida where all grades are taught by one teacher for both languages of instruction, English and Spanish. The overall response rate for survey was 26.5%. The data was analyzed using SPSS and determined the following findings: Factor 1 (Teachers' behaviors) is the most influential factor. Factor 2 (Parental support) is also a strong factor affecting student achievement. Factor 3 (Learning environment) and Factor 4 (Student motivation) were not influential factors affecting achievement. Factors 1, 2, 3, and 4 were able to adjust the lowest level of student performance with positive impacts in at least 17% of the students' ability to perform at their best level of ability. The teacher behaviors were able to modify the highest level of student performance with positive impacts in at least 58% of the students' ability to perform at their best level of ability. The parental support was able to modify the lowest level of student achievement with negative impacts in at least 18% of the students' ability to perform at their best level of ability. The learning environment, student motivation, and teachers' behaviors can be used as tools by educators in order to improve student achievement.

Bibliometric review on factors influencing consumers’ intention to purchase electric vehicles

The prevailing global emission pollution dilemma necessitates a sustainable alternative to gasoline-powered automobiles, with electric vehicles serving as a viable option. The shift from petrol to electric cars (EVs) poses a challenge for expanding markets like Malaysia. The Malaysian Automobile Association reported that electric vehicle sales in Malaysia for 2023 totaled 13,257 units. This study examines studies on determinants that affect consumers’ intention to acquire electric vehicles. Subsequently, analyzed information regarding the determinants affecting Malaysian customers’ propensity to acquire electric vehicles in order to assess prevailing trends. Thirty-six articles published between 2016 and 2023 were extracted from the Scopus databases. The investigation was conducted via bibliometric analysis utilizing VOSviewer software. The subsequent conventional bibliometric indicators employed were: publication year, source type, language, subject area, keyword analysis, geographical distribution, and author citation analysis. Keyword analysis and publication patterns suggest that the determinants affecting consumers’ propensity to acquire electric vehicles represent a viable subject for future research.

In today’s economy, one of the most appealing strategy requirements for company operations is corporate social responsibility. This paper reviews the existing bodies of literature related to the determinants of corporate social responsibility (CSR) with a focus on Saudi Arabia. This paper studies the literature of CSR and CSR disclosure (CSRD). The study expands knowledge on CSRD through analyzing the historical development of previous studies, research impact, theories utilized, research country/context, and methodologies and models used to capture CSRD. The analysis of the existing literature of CSRD in Saudi Arabia shows that there is a need for more research examining not only traditional determinants but also, and most importantly, contextual characteristics. This is the first known research that thoroughly examines the current Saudi CSRD literature and identifies contextual factors that should be examined in relation to CSRD. In summary, the study highlights a number of research areas, points out a number of gaps in the literature, and provides a comprehensive and interesting roadmap for future research. The research directions identified in this paper can be used as guidance for future CSRD studies of different emerging countries.

Transition from Nurses to Medicalized Elderly Caregivers: Comparison on Willingness between Traditional and Modern Regions in China

As China is transitioning to an aging society, the Chinese government has proposed an eldercare pattern, called medicalized elderly care, to help solve the rapid aging and health care problems together. However, the shortage of elderly caregivers is a critical issue, with deficiency both in quantity and quality. This study aims to survey nurses’ willingness to transition into medicalized elderly caregivers and compare it between modern and traditional regions. Nurses working in Guangdong (modern region) and Jilin (traditional region) were investigated using a self-administered questionnaire in October 2021. We analyzed the influencing factors through χ²-test, t-test a and binary logistic regression model and further explored the influence of region using propensity score matching (PSM). A total of 1227 nurses were included, with 726 (59.2%) of them showing willingness to transition. Nurses from traditional regions showed a significantly higher willingness to transition after PSM (p = 0.027). Other factors influencing nurses’ willingness were age, education, lived with older adults, participated in voluntary activities related to older adults, visited eldercare institutions, attitudes toward older adults, knowledge about older adults, hospice care attitudes and death attitudes. The willingness of nurses to transition was not high enough. To have more willing and skillful human resources for eldercare, we need a more “intimate society for older adults” in the first place.

Testing Convergence of Tourism Development and Exploring Its Influencing Factors: Empirical Evidence from the Greater Bay Area in China

Inverse globalization and the spread of epidemics have affected the world economy. Promoting the convergence and resilience of the tourism industry is an important means of boosting regional economic recovery and high-quality development. Taking the nine cities in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) as cases, this study measures the state of development in each city from 2010 to 2019, and it constructs a coupled coordinated model to evaluate the integration of culture and tourism development. The entropy method and the coupling-coordination-degree model are evaluated through this empirical analysis. The results demonstrate that most cities in the GBA show an upward trend in the development and integration of the tourism industry. The development and integration of the tourism industry in Guangzhou and Shenzhen has always been in a leading position. The main factors that affect the level of tourism-industry convergence in the GBA cities include the level of economic development, the scale of government spending, the level of urbanization, and the level of technological innovation.
