2017
\"The Lion King debuted on July 8, 1997 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis and was an instant success before premiering at the New Amsterdam Theatre on November 13, 1997. It is Broadway's highest grossing production of all time, having grossed more than $1 billion. The show won six 1998 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Direction of a Musical, making Julie Taymor the first woman in theatrical history bestowed with the honor. In this updated redesigned edition of her book originally published in 1998. Taymor has a chance to reflect on her 20-year journey with this beloved show. Featuring all of the original behind-the-scenes text and imagery photographed during the building of sets and rehearsals and costume creation, Pride Rock on Broadway is an important volume for theater fans, Disney fans, and Taymor fans alike.\"--Provided by publisher.

Beyond the silos: integrating HIV and global health
2018
[...]as the global community revitalises efforts on HIV, more of the same is not enough. [...]perhaps most importantly, it is now time to end the siloed and vertical response to AIDS, and, in the words of the Commission, to “make common cause with the global health field”.1 That conclusion raises many questions about the existing instruments to address the AIDS epidemic—namely, UNAIDS, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). [...]political support will be crucial for this proposed reorganisation of efforts. Since France is hosting the next Global Fund replenishment conference, French President Emmanuel Macron has an opportunity to step up to lead a global debate about the direction of travel of the AIDS response.

HIV/AIDS: complacency risks reversing progress on ending epidemic, conference hears
2018
The 22nd international AIDS conference, organised by the International AIDS Society, runs from 23 to 27 July 2018 with at least 15 000 researchers, policy makers, clinicians, activists, and patients from more than 160 countries discussing science, advocacy, and human rights. Amsterdam, a “fast track city,”2 has pledged to meet the 90-90-90 target. Since 1992 its HIV incidence has halved, and the city’s evidence based policy is informed by the populations most affected by HIV/AIDS, Reiss said. “No AIDS 2020 in Trump’s USA,” said stickers distributed at the conference. 1 Bekker LG Alleyne G Baral S.
