Transco Hosts 41st Annual Stockholders' Meeting
1989
Transco Energy Co. (NYSE:E) President and Chief Executive Officer George S. Slocum told stockholders at the company's 41st annual meeting that 1988 will prove to be a pivotal point in Transco's history. During the year Transco developed and initiated a business strategy to refocus its future capital commitments on the natural gas service businesses and to reduce its exposure to those natural resource businesses with more inherent commodity price risks. \"Our improved first quarter results reflect the major restructuring steps we've taken in the last year to better position the company strategically and strengthen it financially,\" he said.
