Etat de la recherche en linguistique descriptive sur les langues du Congo, dix ans après Kadima Kamuleta
2001
At the occasion of the seminary in memory of Professor Kadima Kamuleta, at the IPN in Kinshasa, February 1999, has been elaborated a survey of the studies on the languages in RDC. The languages of the RDC belong to two of the four big African linguistic families: the Nilo-Sahara family and the Niger-Congo family. Indeed, the Adamawa-Ubangi branches and Benue-Congo of the subfamily Niger-Congo nearly cover the whole Congolese territory. Within the Benue-Congo enters the big Bantu group. We must add there the G zone (Swahili.) In the Ubangi group of the Adamawa-Ubangi branch we take in consideration the sango, the ngbandi, the mbaka, the banda, the ngbaka, the zande, the nzakara, barambo, pampia, amadi, mondunga, mba... One can mention the Nilo-Sahara family: alur and lugbara, madi, logo, mangbetu, makere, meje and the languages of the lendu group. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]

Etat de la recherche en linguistique comparative bantu au Congo-Kinshasa. Dix ans après Kadima Kamuleta
2002
Kadima Kamuleta was one of the most important bantoustes of the 1980s. Educated in the school of the africanists at the Free University of Brussels and Tervuren, he had begun, in the eyes of the Africa bantoustes, to make up part of their own tradition. His tragic disappearance affected a whole generation of Congolese linguists and remains today a marking point. This bibliography substantiates the merits of the post-Kadima period in the area of linguistic research in the Congo.
