\"The V V Giri National Labour Institute (VVGNLI) will not only help Afghanistan develop the labour institute, but can also organise courses on research methods in labour studies,\" India's Labour and Employment Minister Mallikarjun Kharge said after signing an agreement with Afghanistan for public sector capacity development.

The marginal increase in fuel surcharge was because of increase in various input costs for Railways, excluding fuel. We will take a call on implementing the Fuel Adjustment Component over the next few days. The Railway Budget basically said we can decide on implementing the FAC twice a year. It can be every six months, or even five and seven months, explained Railway Board s Member Traffic Devi Pandey.

Minister [Mallikarjun Kharge] has landed in the Karnataka capital to perform a range of works. He has commissioned the road-over-bridge at Sarjapur Road; and laid foundation stone for main line electrical unit shed at Banaswadi; as well as flagged of the Bangalore City-Nagercoil Express and Yeshwantpur-Kamakhya AC weekly Express and also commissioned escalators at Bangalore city railway station. According to Kharge, escalators have been installed at 850 railway stations across India. He has revealed that approval from the Environment Ministry is a must for the implementation of the railway line between Hubli and Ankola. He has further said that none has offered bids for the global tender issued for the relocation of the Tipu Sultan s armoury at Srirangapatna, creating hurdles for the accomplishment of the Mysore-Bangalore track doubling project.
