Le mouvement des makers est représentatif des évolutions qui modifient profondément le travail et les modes d’organisation. Composé principalement de travailleurs indépendants dont le métier consiste à produire des objets innovants à la frontière du design, de l’artisanat et des nouvelles technologies, ce mouvement remet en question ce que l’on appelle une organisation et les finalités des activités professionnelles. Phénomène évolutif, sans frontières prédéterminées, engageant la société tout entière, les activités des makers donnent à voir des modes d’organisation qui ne se résument plus à une entreprise ou une administration. Ce phénomène interpelle car il remet en cause de nombreuses hypothèses à partir desquelles l’organisation a été appréhendée.
