Biplot analysis for marking the quality of schools which compatible with national examination score
The issue of national examinations has always been a matter of debate, because the scores are only used to determine the passing scores of students without follow-up. This study aims to map the quality of schools in accordance with national exam scores, and describe the relationship between national exam scores and influential variables. Data were taken from 22 high schools in Malang and Malang regencies with a population of 5396 people and a sample of 359 people. Data were analysed with a biplot package based on Mathematica programming, by combining scores and national deviation examination standards. Mapping the quality of schools is compatible with the national exam scores. It is obtained by the biplot with standard variables. The results obtained show that there is the compatibility of the rankings, and there is a significant positive correlation between all schools.
The ability to solve mathematical problems through realistic mathematics learning based on ethnomathematics
Problem-solving is one of the goals of mathematics learning. Ethnomimetic-based realistic mathematics learning is learning with starting-point contextual problems that are close to students' minds. This study aims to determine the effect of ethnomathematics-oriented realistic mathematics learning on problem-solving abilities. That is a type of quasi-experimental research. The study design was a non-equivalent control group. The population is SMA N 2 Kota Bengkulu in 2019. The sample of this study was 68 students from Class X MIPA A and X MIPA D. The research instrument was a test of problem-solving skills. Data were collected through tests and analysed by covariate analysis. The results of this study are that realistic mathematics learning oriented to ethnomathematics has a positive effect on the ability to solve. The conclusion is that realistic mathematics learning with ethnomathematics orientation can improve mathematical problem-solving skills for secondary school students. We suggest that mathematics teachers can develop realistic mathematics learning tools with ethnomathematics as a starting point for learning.

A new red wine prediction framework using machine learning
Red wine has become an integral part of people's lives and culture. Modeling the red wine quality is crucial. We propose a new framework to predict the red wine quality ratings. MF-DCCA was utilized to quantitatively investigate the cross-correlation between quality and physicochemical data. The long-range correlations importance was ranked. We compared two machine learning algorithms with other common algorithms implemented on the red wine data set, which was taken from UC Irvine Machine Learning Repository to ensure the reliability and performance. These data sets contain 1599 instances for red wine with 11 features of physicochemical data. Our model has better performance than other results.
Understanding learning strategy use through the lens of habit
Students frequently rely on ineffective learning strategies instead of those that promote long-term retention. This is not simply a matter of lacking metacognitive knowledge. Research on self-regulated learning typically emphasizes that students deliberately avoid effective strategies due to time and effort demands, or because their academic goals can be met without them. In this paper, we aim to expand this perspective by investigating the role of non-deliberate, habitual behaviors in students' self-directed use of learning strategies. Drawing on key principles of habit and habit formation, we argue that particularly ineffective learning strategies tend to develop strong habitual tendencies. An overreliance on them may therefore stem not only from a lack of deliberate choices but also from their automatic activation in response to environmental cues. We explore this idea both theoretically, by analyzing how ineffective strategies align with habit characteristics, and empirically, through a proof-of-concept study comparing the habit strength of strategies that differ in effectiveness. By framing learning strategy use through a habit-based lens, we highlight non-deliberate learning behavior and discuss possible implications for interventions that leverage behavior-change principles to promote the adoption of effective strategies.
Online learning readiness during the Covid-19 pandemic
Online learning is one of the main alternatives to learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal period.
