SUMMERSIDE (Staff) - High school student Ellyn Lyle was one of the first Canadians to tell Canada's politicians what she thinks of the federal government's proposals for a new Constitution. Lyle eloquently explained that islanders feel threatened by Ottawa's proposal to protect property rights in the Charter of Rights. Montreal Liberal MP Warren Allmand told the students that as an anglophone Quebecer, he does not feel threatened by the distinct society proposal.
