In relation to the theoretical reflections and operational implications involving the restoration project, the following points should be highlighted: * Methodology for the restoration project. On the theoretical and philosophical aspects of conservation and restoration, Roberto Di Stefano promoted, from 1975 to 1984 with other Specialists, in Ravello, fundamental Meetings put in evidence the contribution of ICOMOS in the path from the Venice Charter to the Nara Document. * Compared Terminology. The International Meeting on Compared Terminology (Ravello 1976) led to the definition and unification in the main European Languages of 55 words concerning the \"objects\" and \"actions\" of interventions involving cultural heritage. * ICOMOS also contributed, in 1983, to the creation of COPAM with 14 ICOMOS Committees adhering from Mediterranean Countries, in accordance with UNESCO, the Council of Europe and ALESCO. * Conservation and authenticity of values. During the Congress on Authenticity and monumental heritage (1994) light was shed on the values born by a property, with reference to its historic, aesthetic and psychological features.
