It/I/Ik/I-Diagnosability of Regular Networks under the Comparison Model
2024
As multiprocessor systems continue to grow in processor scale, the incidence of faults also increases. As a result, fault diagnosis is becoming a key mechanism for maintaining the normal operation of multiprocessor systems. To explore more effective diagnostic methods, Somani et al. introduced a generalized pessimistic diagnostic strategy, named t/k-diagnosis, in which all faulty nodes are isolated in a set of nodes and at most k fault-free nodes are misdiagnosed, provided that the quantity of faults is limited by t. By imposing certain conditions or restrictions, the t/k-diagnosability of some regular networks under the Preparata, Metze, and Chien (PMC) model has been determined. However, the t/k-diagnosability of many networks under the comparison model remains unidentified. In this paper, we provide new insights into the study of t/k-diagnosability under the comparison model. After introducing some new notions, such as the 0-test unit, 0-test set and 0-test subgraph, under the comparison model, we study the relationship in a system G between the 0-test subgraphs and the components of G−F, where F is the set of faulty nodes, and we obtain some important correlation properties. Based on these results, we study t/k-diagnosability under the comparison model. As a result, the t/k-diagnosability of some regular interconnection networks can be efficiently determined.

RNAs originating from mitochondrial genomes are abundant in transcriptomic datasets produced by high-throughput sequencing technologies, primarily in short-read outputs. Specific features of mitochondrial small RNAs (mt-sRNAs), such as non-templated additions, presence of length variants, sequence variants, and other modifications, necessitate the need for the development of an appropriate tool for their effective identification and annotation. We have developed mtR_find, a tool to detect and annotate mitochondrial RNAs, including mt-sRNAs and mitochondria-derived long non-coding RNAs (mt-lncRNA). mtR_find uses a novel method to compute the count of RNA sequences from adapter-trimmed reads. When analyzing the published datasets with mtR_find, we identified mt-sRNAs significantly associated with the health conditions, such as hepatocellular carcinoma and obesity, and we discovered novel mt-sRNAs. Furthermore, we identified mt-lncRNAs in early development in mice. These examples show the immediate impact of miR_find in extracting a novel biological information from the existing sequencing datasets. For benchmarking, the tool has been tested on a simulated dataset and the results were concordant. For accurate annotation of mitochondria-derived RNA, particularly mt-sRNA, we developed an appropriate nomenclature. mtR_find encompasses the mt-ncRNA transcriptomes in unpreceded resolution and simplicity, allowing re-analysis of the existing transcriptomic databases and the use of mt-ncRNAs as diagnostic or prognostic markers in the field of medicine.

Features of Ablation and Modification of Al.sub.2O.sub.3-TiC Ceramic Surface Structure During Two-Coordinate Pulsed Laser Treatment
2023
The main features of the influence of two-coordinate pulsed laser treatment parameters on processes of ablation and structural modification of Al.sub.2O.sub.3-TiC ceramics are established. The ambiguous influence of laser treatment parameter regime on the intensity of the ablation process is revealed. It is shown that the nature of structural modification is determined by parallel processes of fragmentation, melting and fusion of original ceramic grains and a defective surface layer with the formation of new elements. The influence of laser treatment parameters regime on nature of structural modification is manifested in the size and number of newly formed surface structural elements.

Mathematical modeling of free-surface flows using multiprocessor computing systems
2019
In this article the results of series of works concerning free-surface flows in liquid medium. Two models were considered: free-surface flows of homogeneous liquid and flows in density stratified liquid. For first model two problems were solved: fluid fluctuations in the container and the occurrence of an undular bore upon collision of a one-way flow with a wall. For second model also was performed test: collapse of homogeneously mixed spot of fluid in the stratified medium. For every test examples satisfactory results were obtained, comparable analysis was carried out whether it corresponds to analytic results.
