The volunteer counselors must attend 40 hours of training in January and work for four hours a week for10 weeks during tax season. Volunteers will be IRS certified to prepare federal, South Carolina and North Carolina income tax returns once they complete the training and pass a test. Counselors are needed in Rock Hill, York, Clover, Fort Mill, Chester and Lancaster.
