Questions arising
Mr [Sam Paterson] did once declare: \"The sooner Britain gets out (of the EU) the better\" (Viewpoint, July 22, 2008), which seems to suggest a different position.
Hello, I'mthe lunatic from next door... ; What this man told househunters viewing his neighbours' Pounds 1.4m mansion before mentioning the banger-racing and the gipsy camp
The couple allege that every time potential new owners come to view Pounds 1.4million Brookhill Hall, once a hunting lodge for Charles II, Mr [Sam Paterson] does everything he can to sabotage the sale. They recently sought and won an injunction preventing Mr Paterson from driving vehicles within 200 metres of their boundaries during viewings and from obstructing access to their property in Pinxton, Derbyshire. He is also banned from approaching viewers and from firing shotguns while people inspect the Grade II-listed house. The dispute began five years ago over a garage the Chadwicks built. Mr Paterson, who lives in the adjacent coach house, waged a relentless campaign against the four-car garage he says should never have been allowed by planners. 'On another occasion it was my teenage son who was driving around the field. He has every right to do so. It is our land and we can do with it as we choose.' Mr Paterson, a retired dentist, claims planning laws were broken when the garage was built. After Bolsover District Council gave the garage retrospective approval he took his case to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott. Now the Chadwicks have served him with a writ claiming compensation of up to Pounds 400,000 for distress and loss in sale value of the house.

2 Sam Paterson weighed little more than a bag of sugar when hewas born. At 2lbs 6oz, hewas so fragile that parents Mary and Sam, from Glasgow, could see his heart beating through his paper-thin skin. Sam's dad, also Sam, said: 'The only time he cried wasonce when nurses couldn't find a vein in his arm to take blood.' 4 James Gunning saved his neighbour's baby from a fire but his partner, Eleanor McGeeham, didn't know what James had done till the next day. Modest James, 46, of Glasgow, caught four-month-old Amina Mohammed when her mum Faduma dropped her 30ft from asmoke-filled flat. 34 Firemaster Brian Sweeney and the officers of Strathclyde Fire Brigade never gave uphope after the Stockline factory disaster. For days they tirelessly scoured the rubble for signs of life after the building in Maryhill, Glasgow, collapsed.

Reid celebrates new deal in style after putting Allardyce on ropes Edition 3
\"Will this result have serious repercussions for me? Who knows,\" said [SAM ALLARDYCE], whose team sit second bottom in the league. \"It's the owners' decision, not mine. I made them aware of what would happen today. I don't go about my business without telling people internally what will happen in the next few games. I'm not saying (the sack) won't happen unless I start to get results, I know that. West Ham have been hit by a crippling injury crisis, which contributed to Allardyce's team selection here. It remains a mystery why he opted to change formation and try a three-man defence. \"It's a disaster for me at the moment, a total disaster,\" he said. On hat-trick hero [Jamie Paterson], [Forest] boss Billy Davies said: \"He's great fun in the dressing- room, he's well liked and he's always got a story to tell. As a single young player, I'm sure you can imagine he can get up to a lot of tricks!
\JERSEY SHORE' RETURNS FOR FIFTH SEASON
\"A lot of people go through the same stuff with their own relationships,\" [Sam Giancola] said. \"And also, people don't always see everything. They see an hour of drama. It's not 24-7. Even when people have something to say, it doesn't mean anything, because they don't know the whole gist of it all.\" \"So a lot of people can say whatever they want,\" she added. \"I'm going to do what I want to do, I'm going to act the way I want to act, I'm going to feel the way I want to feel. It's great to have my friends and family always supporting me, but at the end of the day, people's advice or people's opinions don't really affect my living.\" \"Um, no,\" Giancola said. \"I think maybe just being able to deal with people, 'cause being on a team, you're with a team all the time. Just being able to adapt to other people.\"
