Great for the casual gamer
2012
Though all of the action plays out on a 2D plane, the environments have a rich depth of field that enhances the illusion of a 3D world. Rooms dim and illuminate as you progress and the camera zooms in and out, adding some cinematic flair. A few neat visual tricks pep up the story, while lithe animations energize [Randall Wayne] and his enemies. These artistic elements work in harmony to make Deadlight a visually compelling game. Unfortunately one of Deadlights greatest drawbacks is the gameplay itself. A great concept and story is marred by the unfortunately shallow gameplay elements, which appear to be heavily borrowed from some of Deadlight's peers.

2006
The Fairley football team does not need any extra reasons to be fired up when it steps on the field tonight in Munford in a second round Class 4A playoff game. In the eight years he has been the head coach of the Bulldogs, Rahnmann Slocum has never taken his team past the second round of the playoffs. \"Everybody is going to put Munford as the favorite because of Coach [Wayne Randall],\" Slocum said. \"We know it's going to be a tight game. Coach Randall always has some tricks up his sleeve.\" Slocum said this year's Munford team is probably not as athletic as some of Randall's East team's, however, he said the Cougars may be more fundamentally sound.

Brighton's Deundre Williams opened the game by scoring on a 30- yard touchdown on the Cardinals first drive, but the Brighton offense would fumble the ball over to Munford twice in the first half inside of the Munford 10-yard line. [Munford] junior quarterback Mitch Huelsing scored the other Cougars' touchdown on a quarterback sneak on Munford's first possession of the second half. Photos; Dale L. Big plays net region for Munford -- Cougar defense keeps Hardin cold in red zone
When asked how long it had been since the Cougars won a region title, Munford head coach Wayne Randall replied: \"Since Moses parted the Red Sea.\" Hardin County got in the red zone three times, but the Munford defense proved to be up for the challenge each time. The Cougar defense had two interceptions and five sacks on the night. On third-and-eight from the Tiger 36-yard line, the Cougars ran a halfback pass that drew a defensive pass interference call. The penalty resulted in a first down and allowed Munford to run out the rest of the clock.

Home sweet home -- Munford rolls up 63 big ones in shutting out Northside; regional title could be just a week away
The Munford Cougars played the perfect homecoming game Friday night as they defeated Memphis Northside 63-0. Munford led 37-0 by the end of the first quarter of play, and by that time Munford coach Wayne Randall decided to start pulling starters in order to give his reserve players some experience. Photos; Photos by Grant Ellis/Special to The Commercial Appeal The Munford band performs at halftime during the Cougars' home game against Northside. It was homecoming and home winning - easily. Things probably get a bit more formidable Friday against Hardin County, an away game. Reese Griffith can't be stopped by Memphis Northside's Justin Wright or by Robert Mull. The Cougars owned the game on offense and defense.

2006
The Covington football team has defeated Munford for seven straight years, and although Munford first-year coach Wayne Randall hasn't been a part of those defeats, they still rub him the wrong way. \"Munford has been the doormat of this county for so long,\" Randall said. \"Covington and Brighton have had their foot on our throats for years. We are now wiggling and struggling and trying to get free where we can stand on our own two feet and look at them eyeball to eyeball.\" Munford will get to 'look at' the Covington Chargers tonight at 7:30 in Covington's homecoming game.
