Senior Thomas Ratcliffe finished first in the mile in a time of 4:06.92 while helping the Concord-Carlisle boys capture the team title at the MIAA All-State Indoor Track & Field Meet at the Reggie Lewis Center. Michael Akon, Sean Keene, Nick Czelewicz and Bobby Panagiotopoulos combined for a 10th place finish in the 4x200 relay. The Grey Ghosts boys 4x800 relay team of David Ellis, Logan Molnar, Jason Dolan and Zach Goldberg posted a seventh place finish at 8:09.07.

The boys' 4x800 relay of [Nathaniel Battista], [Eli Decker], [Thomas Ratcliffe] and [Cole Winstanley] finished 2nd (8:08.80). On the girls' side, in the 1,000 meters, junior Meg Wilson finished 3rd (3:02.86) and sophomore Margot Ehrenthal finished 5th (3:04.73). Sophomore Sarinnagh Budris placed 4th in the long jump (17-0). Sophomore Valerie Reiling finished 8th in the 300 (42.86).

Police searched [Thomas Ratcliffe]'s address on April 19 following a tip that he was involved. Officers found a single barrelled sawn-off shotgun. They also found a pump action 12 bore shotgun on display in the dining room and live shotgun cartridges.

Finishing with third places were Dracut's Julia Sanborn in the discus (117-04) and Acton-Boxboro's Samantha Friborg in the 800 (2:12.55). Taking fourth place were Tewksbury's [Lauren Polimeno] in the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.37), Dracut's Mikaylah Schwartz in the shot put (39-01.75) and Chelmsford's Kristen Hohenstein in the 100-meter hurdles (15.32). Finishing in sixth place were Lowell's Kaley Richards in the mile at 5:04.82 and [Tewksbury] senior Molly Robertson in the pentathlon held Thursday as she compiled 2,687 points. Seventh places were earned by Tewksbury's Ashley Colarusso in the pole vault (10-00), Littleton's Kaitlyn Leonard in the 400 (57.90), Billerica's Alyssa Harris in the 200 (25.52) and Concord-Carlisle's Meg Wilson in the 800 (2:15.87). Billerica's Abby Fisher was eighth in the two-mile with a time of 11:21.71. Rounding out the scoring included Lowell's Chris Polanco who was fifth in the mile (4:19.42) as was Wilmington's Joe Gaudreau in the 200 (22.26), while Concord-Carlisle's Eli Decker was sixth in the mile (4:19.76), and seventh places came from Westford's Ajeya Balasubramanyam in the discus at 145-09 and A-B's Colin Grip in the 800 (1:54.70).

\"The win at the All-State Meet was the priority,\" said [Garmon]'s coach, Cullen Hagan. \"At the New Englands, he's going to go right from the gun, try to get the record. Time-wise, this was not a big deal. He won.\" \"It's my favorite (indoor) race,\" said Garmon of the 1,000, which he won by 0.88 seconds over Northampton's Liam Sullivan. \"I feel like it makes me stronger for the 800 (outdoors). I wanted to dip under that state-record mark of 2:25. We just didn't go fast enough.\" \"I didn't have a great race last year. I was a little bit sick,\" said [Thomas Ratcliffe], also a midfielder on Concord-Carlisle's state championship soccer team. \"So it was good to come back and get it this year.\"
