Reid happy to stay and fight for his Leinster place
\"I thought this was a club that had come up, would stay up and really kick on. It's hard to put my finger on it. Leadership from the top down? I don't know which direction the club's going.\" \"I suppose so,\" [Noel Reid] replied when asked if Te'o's move proved that money doesn't always talk. \"I think nowadays the importance of a good squad is huge,\" he maintained. \"I see myself as a team player and I want to win trophies with this club. It's the club I've grown up in.
Marsh gets kick out of taking on heat
Not that it matters to those around him. As the Leinster 'A'A' team have gone in search of a first ever defence of the British and Irish Cup, Marsh has been their go-to man and hasn't been found wanting. Leinster 'A'A' played [Leeds] twice in the pool stages last year, winning at home and drawing away, so there is some level of knowledge built up. \"We have seen them up close last year and again have seen a fair bit of their games on video as we prepare for the final,\" [Marsh] said It is also the last game of the year for this Leinster 'A'A' squad and the likes of Darren Hudson, Jack O'Connell and Leo Auva'a are leaving at the end of the year, so they have motivation aplenty themselves. There is also the memories of last year and wanting to experience it all again.
O'Connor identifies Aussie Douglas as player that fits Leinster profile
Centres and secondrows have been occupying Matt O'Connor's mind. The Leinster coach has been in talks with 6ft 6in Australian lock Kane Douglas but nothing yet, he says, has been finalised, while the search for Brian O'Driscoll's replacement continues. That, too, has not been resolved although Gordon D'Arcy believes that Leinster have the players to grow into the 13 shirt. \"[Douglas] is a guy we have identified,\" said O'Connor yesterday. \"The deal hasn't been done. If that gets across the line it would be positive for us. He fits the profile of what we were looking at and we'll have an announcement in the next couple of weeks hopefully.\" \"He is the best passer in our squad. His distribution is fantastic,\" said D'Arcy. \"I know that is something Matt likes. His all-round play has come really, really good. Each game he's playing he's getting better and better. He's hitting that age now where it's really make-or-break. He is 23-24.

Meet the dream XV
RUGBY internationals Dave Kearney and Noel Reid were popular attractions in DkIT's Nursing Theatre on Thursday last, but for once they weren't the 'stars' of the show. 'Even if you don't get a jersey, you deserve the opportunity to be recognised.' debe ' Ardee CS defeated Drogheda Grammar 12-7 in the final of the Blitz which will be developed into a cup competition next year. 'We also look forward to growing our partnership with CX Sport and I think the jerseys will be worn with great pride.' by ' The phenomenal growth of rugby in local schools was a subject that came up repeatedly from the speakers and that has particularly been the case at Ardee CS, driven by their English coach Andy Robb who was the target of some gentle ribbing ahead of Saturday's Six Nations clash.Andy said: 'There was no rugby in the school eight years ago, and without somebody to take charge of it, it's never going to take off, and in order to be successful you need to develop close links with the local club as well.
