What did Schliemann Find - \and Where, When, and How did he find it?\
1993
The accounts of the discovery of The Treasure of Priam as written by its discoverer, Heinrich Schliemann, are filled with contradictions. There are claims that the diaries, letters and publications contain errors, romantic embellishments and outright lies. A synopsis of the findings of archaeologists is provided to reconcile falsehoods created by Schliemann in 1873. Questions are probed, such as: Who was present when the treasure was discovered? When was the treasure discovered? and, Why did Schliemann smuggle the treasure out of Turkey?
