Study Informing Policy on Chinese Ancient Town Tourism Based on a Tourist Satisfaction Survey: A Case Study in the City of Chengdu
2017
This paper discusses the customer satisfaction of tourists in Chengdu and proposes corresponding countermeasures for tourism development of Chinese traditional areas. The Customer Satisfaction (CS) analysis method is applied to draw the following conclusions: visitors are satisfied with the historical landscapes—such as traditional historical streets, historical buildings as well as waterside landscapes, natural landscapes and infrastructures—which are the key points in the future development of tourism, and are essential to maintain. On the other hand, priority should be given to improving the current shortfalls, namely the protection and improvement of traditional culture, such as the spirit and experience of local life, as well as the experience of traditional culture. In this regard, it is recommended that direct measures are taken, such as preventing the loss of local residents and calling for a return of indigenous people to their hometowns to maintain local traditional cultures. What is fundamentally necessary is to help local residents understand tourists’ desperate demands for local traditional cultural resources. In parallel, it will be important to inspire local residents to value and celebrate their traditional cultural lives and resources.

Research on the Innovative Model of English Teaching by Integrating Traditional Culture and Artificial Intelligence
2025
English teaching is an important part of cultivating high-quality skilled talents and one of the main positions for spreading Chinese culture. This paper proposes a teaching strategy to integrate Chinese traditional culture into the English curriculum, and at the same time, combined with artificial intelligence technology, it constructs a Dynamic Key-Value Memory Network (DKVMN-F) based on forgetting behaviors in sequences and a Neural Network-based Recommendation Model for Similar English Topics (HANN), which realizes the in-depth tracking of the students’ English knowledge level and personalized and intelligent recommendation of English topics. On this basis, a game task-driven English teaching model based on learner profiles is innovatively designed. Compared with current knowledge tracking models, DKVMN-F performs more accurately in tracking students’ knowledge mastery status and has better prediction performance by introducing features such as repetition interval and number of past answers for modeling. On both the ML-1M and Gowalla datasets, the HANN model achieves a performance improvement of 0.5%-7.5% relative to the other models. On the ASSISTments2009 dataset, the HANN model achieves the optimal value in all evaluation metrics by adding an exercise similarity attention mechanism. The research in this paper provides a teaching model reference for the use of artificial intelligence technology to realize the organic integration of traditional culture and English teaching and to improve the teaching effectiveness.

The Hadza
2010
InThe Hadza, Frank Marlowe provides a quantitative ethnography of one of the last remaining societies of hunter-gatherers in the world. The Hadza, who inhabit an area of East Africa near the Serengeti and Olduvai Gorge, have long drawn the attention of anthropologists and archaeologists for maintaining a foraging lifestyle in a region that is key to understanding human origins. Marlowe ably applies his years of research with the Hadza to cover the traditional topics in ethnography-subsistence, material culture, religion, and social structure. But the book's unique contribution is to introduce readers to the more contemporary field of behavioral ecology, which attempts to understand human behavior from an evolutionary perspective. To that end,The Hadzaalso articulates the necessary background for readers whose exposure to human evolutionary theory is minimal.

Application of deep learning for transformation of Chinese traditional cultural narrative patterns and enhancement of cultural identity empowered by AIGC
2025
This study aims to achieve controllable generation of Chinese traditional cultural narrative content and enhance cultural identity. First, it constructs a tri-modal generation framework of text-image-style based on Stable Diffusion v2.1 and Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining (CLIP) models, realizing the joint modeling of traditional cultural semantics and visual imagery. Second, the study introduces the Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) mechanism to embed traditional cultural style features in a lightweight manner, improving the model’s style adaptability under small sample conditions. Finally, a three-level evaluation system of “generation quality-semantic consistency-cultural identity” is built, covering both objective indicators and user feedback, to systematically verify the model’s performance. Results show that the proposed model significantly outperforms existing methods in multiple dimensions: in terms of image quality, the Fréchet Inception Distance (FID) is 22.85, the Learned Perceptual Image Patch Similarity (LPIPS) is 0.298, and the style recognition accuracy reaches 86.4%. Regarding narrative consistency, the Bilingual Evaluation Understudy (BLEU) score is 0.325, the CLIP text-image similarity is 0.793, and the Narrative Style Match is 82.3%. On the cultural perception level, the average user narrative resonance is 4.32 points, the imagery accuracy score is 0.748, and the question-answer task pass rate is 82.6%. The comparative results indicate that the proposed method has significant advantages in expressive diversity and depth of cultural communication. When properly designed, Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) technology can be effectively used for the generation and identity reconstruction of Chinese traditional cultural narrative content. This study provides a scalable technical path for the integration of AI and traditional culture, and expands the boundaries of digital humanities in content generation and reception research.

Synergistic Development of Chinese Language Teaching to Foreigners and Traditional Culture in the Information Age
2024
This paper collects data on teaching resources and traditional cultural elements for the Chinese language teaching abroad platform and mines and analyzes the behavior of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The association rule method is employed to analyze the correlation between Chinese language teaching and traditional culture based on the teaching data. According to the data, New Year’s Snacks (87.83 million) is the most-watched teaching video on YouTube, followed by Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice Pork Ribs (67.74 million). Chinese cultural symbols (a total of 100) and Chinese cultural and artistic symbols were used more frequently (a total of 54), and optimal teaching aids were selected for different categories of Chinese cultural symbols. This study successfully explored the association relationship between traditional culture and Chinese language teaching to foreigners, providing a basis for the synergistic development of the two.
