Despite the challenged contention that consumers serve more onto larger dinnerware, it remains unclear what would cause this and who might be most at risk. The results of five studies suggest that the neglected Delboeuf illusion may explain how the size of dinnerware creates two opposing biases that lead people to overserve on larger plates and bowls and underserve on smaller ones. A countercyclical sinus-shaped relationship is shown to exist between these serving biases and the relative gap between the edge of the food and the edge of the dinnerware. Although these serving biases are difficult to eliminate with attention and education, changing the color of one’s dinnerware or tablecloth may help attenuate them. By showing that the Delboeuf illusion offers a mechanistic explanation for how dinnerware size can bias serving and intake, we open new theoretical opportunities for linking illusions to eating behavior and suggest how simple changes in design can improve consumer welfare.

Based on investigations and flow gauges that we conducted in all the foggaras of the Bouda Oasis during the period: 2015–2018, this article examines an original hydraulic phenomenon that occurred recently in the oasis of Bouda in the wilaya of Adrar (Algeria). The exploitation of the boreholes made during the 1980s in the export field of foggaras caused a drying of foggaras water. However, in 2015, the remoteness of the well field and the supply of drinking water by the water resources services led to an increase in foggara flows. At first, it was good news for farmers, but over time the phenomenon became worrying for the population, since the flow has not yet stabilized. The phenomenon is starting to grow; sebkhas and palm groves are today flooded by the surplus of waters of foggaras.

Can the surface material of a display table prompt context effects on shoppers' product evaluations? If so, how might the direction of such effects be influenced by people's use of different modes of cognition—namely, holistic versus analytic cognition? The authors theorize and find that people's use of holistic cognition, as prompted by an interdependent self-view, produces an assimilation effect. Product evaluations are assimilated with associations with the table surface. However, people who rely on analytic processing, as prompted by an independent self-view, elicit a contrast effect in which evaluations are negatively related to such associations.

The superficial tablecloth of furrow of Midelt belongs to the bowl of High Moulouya which stretches out from the west eastward between the High Atlas in the South and the Medium Atlas west and in the Northeast. The methodology used includes the synthesis of geological data, piezometry, hydrodynamics, hydroclimatology and water quality. This study provides the following results: The flow mode of the water table is general SW to NE on the left bank of the Moulouya river and on the right bank, the flow is from the NW to the SE. The piezometric ratings vary from 1460 to 1780 m. The hydraulic gradient is the order of 2% on average. The transmissivity is usually about 10-3 m 2 /s. the punctual flows can reach 50 l / s (case of the drilling N ° IRE 879/38 realized in the alluviums of the Outat). The flow provided by the sources from conglomerates and lake limestones of the Plio-Villafranchien is 50 l / s. The unit of the Mio- Plio-Quaternary aquifer is fed from the infiltrations of rains, by the wadis which cross the banks of the conglomerates and by the landing of the tablecloths of Lias, Dogger and Cretaceous this feeding is however weak in because of the discontinuity of the formations and the poor permeability of the different levels. From a qualitative point of view the groundwater analysis of the aquifer shows that their overall quality is average to good.

After explaining how prior responses to Travis's examples fail in the metaphysical details, the present essay develops a new approach that treats a wide range of subject terms as disguised indexicals sensitive to mereological structure.

The problem of water pollution affects the whole world including groundwater which is more susceptible to contamination by residues of industry, agriculture and domestic wastewater leading to the emergence of many serious epidemic diseases (cholera, typhoid, amoebiasis,...etc). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of agricultural intensification and discharge of untreated sewage on the physical, chemical and bacteriological water quality of groundwater Maamora, Kenitra, Morocco. The physicochemical parameters followed are: T[degrees]C, pH, EC, NH4 +, NO2 -, NO3 -, Cl-, F-, HCO3 -, SiO2, SO4 2-, Boron, Dry Residue, Turbidity, Total Hardness (TH), Dissolved O2, Oxidisability and total and fecal coliforms of raw water from the boreholes. This study shows that the physicochemical and bacteriological quality of the groundwater which is used as drinking water for the city of Kenitra and adjacent areas is generally good. Mission of this paper is to enable those interested in observance and development quality embroidery typical of the region use with RFID technologies for designing, implementing and providing overprint for tablecloths embroidery. The starting point is present situation and method of observance and development of overprint embroidery. The solution is in scanning of patterns and their saving into database of industrial patterns with implemented RFID tag. This will allow indentifying, evaluating and using overprint for tablecloths embroidery. RFID technology can be applied for observance and development of salient quality any products of individual, organizations and their protected pattern and support creative and innovative acting of individuals and organizations in region. The paper is intended especially for specialists, who are interested in issue observance salient quality in sense of cultural heritage of regions. Many middle school students approach math with caution, often trepidation, and generally less-than-complete confidence. Several factors contribute to their views of what math actually is (a system of rules to follow and formulas to apply) as well as who might be good at it (people who can see the path to an answer and calculate quickly). A few say they \"just aren't math people\"--something which is false. Students at this age are immersed in forming their identity, including their mathematics identity. At a time when they might be embracing math as a powerful tool for reading their world, young people can instead succumb to fixed mindsets, the perpetuation of math myths, and a compromised relationship with math, thus affecting their school and career trajectory for the rest of their lives. Middle school math teachers have a unique opportunity to steer their students' mathematical development in a more positive direction. This article presents strategies to help teachers support the emergence of their students' math identities.
