Surviving are his wife of six years, Tracy Locke Dame of Gorham; two sons, Thomas Caruso of Windham and Travis Caruso of South Portland; three daughters, Danielle C. Dame of Standish, Nicole M. Herrick of Windham and Amy J. Herrick of Portland; a sister, Dorothy Burnham of Gorham; four brothers, Alfred Dame of Gilbert, Ariz.; Robert Dame of Springfield, Ore., William Dame of Yarmouth and George Dame of Houlton; and two grandchildren.

THOMAS EARL 'TOMMY' DAME, JR

Thomas Earl Dame, Jr. born October 27, 1927 died April 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Tommy graduated from Achilles High School and served in the Army Air Force. Tommy was an active member of Severn Church, an Elder, Sunday School teacher, sang in the church choir, and preached whenever needed. He was owner and operator of Dame's Electrical and Plumbing business, and retired from Gloucester County as Electrical Inspector. He was a member of Duck's Unlimited and American Legion Post 75, Gloucester. Tommy was a kind, quiet man and a lover of sports, fishing, reading and puzzles.

NORFOLK - Rear Adm. Thomas A. Dames took over as the new commanding officer of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, during ceremonies Tuesday at Norfolk Naval Base, Navy officials said. Tyrone Clifton Jarvis, 35, went to Yorktown Square apartments to drop another man off about 11:50 p.m., said Sheriff's Capt. Joe Adam. When Jarvis stepped out of his red 1986 Nissan 300SX on Lee Road, an unknown person fired a shotgun from about 50 feet away, striking Jarvis' leg with a pellet. HAMPTON - Hampton resident Walter Lee Swafford, 31, of the first block of Eastmoreland Drive, was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated sexual assault and indecent liberties with a minor, Hampton police said.
