COMPORTAMIENTO PROSOCIAL EN PERSONAS CON DISCAPACIDAD: ESTUDIO CUALITATIVO DE HISTORIAS DE VIDA

El objetivo de este estudio es describir e interpretar el comportamiento prosocial en personas con discapacidad, desde sus historias de vida, considerando además la relación de este comportamiento positivo con su inclusión social. Se utilizó metodología cualitativa, un diseño de historias de vida y un muestreo a priori de ocho personas con distintos tipos de discapacidad. Los datos se analizaron con base en codificación temática y teoría fundamentada. Se encontró que el comportamiento prosocial es frecuente, sistemático y promueve la calidad de vida e inclusión de las personas más vulnerables. En la discusión se analizan estos resultados a la luz de la literatura y se proporcionan algunas sugerencias teóricas y prácticas sobre el tema. The objective of this study is to describe and interpret prosocial behavior in individuals with disabilities, based on their life stories, while also considering the re-lationship between this positive behavior and their social inclusion. Qualitative meth-odology was employed, utilizing a life story design and a purposive sampling of eight individuals with different types of disabilities. The data were analyzed using thematic coding and grounded theory. It was found that prosocial behavior is frequent, system-atic, and aimed at promoting the quality of life and inclusion of the most vulnerable individuals. The discussion analyzes these findings in light of the literature and provides some theoretical and practical suggestions on the topic.
