Webb of strength
\"I was very relaxed when I got to state,\" [Donald Webb] said. \"Being there with my teammates helped a lot. We always talk about how we are a family here and with my teammates there to support me at state it felt great.\" \"Anyone can lay down and push weight and our coaches always say that we are going to win in the clean-and-jerk,\" Webb said. \"That's where we beat people. We take a lot of pride [in our clean-and-jerk ability].\" \"Our coaches have talked this spring about finding leaders,\" Webb said. \"I feel that I can take that role for my team. This year, we had Jacob Kim leading in weightlifting and Larry Greene leading in football. I want to fill those roles next year.\"
Forest routs Harmony, 35-0
\"Offensively we did exactly what we had to do tonight,\" Hodges said. \"We had to drive the football, eat time off the clock and stuff it in the end zone. Defensively, well, we just got after them -- period.\" \"He just takes charge out there\" Hodges said. \"He's our leader, on this defense, and for our team. \"We came out here and proved we can play the game of football,\" Hodge said. \"We're gonna take it week by week, and do what we do. But, if we play like we played tonight we know what will happen.\"

John Swan puts case for GBP 5m Borders mart
PLANS for a new rural centre, livestock auction market and \"gateway to the Borders\" might hinge on a new roundabout on the A68 at St Boswells. Before then, a meeting will be held with representatives of Transport Scotland, and Donald Webb of DTZ emphasised the importance of that yesterday to The Scotsman. He said the proposed development, on the other side of the A68 from the present century-old Swan's mart in the centre of St Boswells, was \"a statement of confidence\" in 21st-century farming. It will comprise a new, bigger, mart with two auction rings, covered and seasonal-sale open penning, a 250- capacity hall, restaurant and parking for more than 380 cars as well as coach and lorry parking. * Ross Finnie, minister for environment and rural development, yesterday emphasised what he sees as the importance of local food - which would be an integral part of the St Boswells development - when he visited Burnside Farm Foods near Kelso as part of his tour of the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway.

Boys injured playing on tractor The boys' grandfather tried to stop the tractor after its brake was released
[Donald Webb] said [Bosley] told him he caught up with the tractor, only to have it roll over him. Bosley got up and ran down the ridge to the boys, who were thrown from the tractor as it rolled down the ridge before coming to rest on its side in a culvert next to Honey Valley Road. DAILY RECORD / BIL BOWDEN Two young boys and their grandfather were injured after a tractor accident near Honey Valley Road in York Township on Wednesday. Neighbor Emerson Knaper explains how the tractor tumbled down the wooded ridge on the Bosley Farm. He arrived at the scene of the accident shortly after emergency personnel. The boys' injuries were not considered life-threatening.
OUR OPINION Love has many faces
Love hurts: Many police officers resemble M&Ms. They need to be tough on the outside to deal with those who violate the law. But that facade often covers a soft inside that melts, especially for children. The look of anguish on York Township Police Officer Donald Webb's face in Thursday morning's York Daily Record spoke volumes. This was the same officer most often pictured beaming at the spectacular Christmas display at his home - a presentation that draws thousands of visitors and charitable contributions. But there he was, kneeling in the snow, obviously distraught after an unsuccessful attempt to rescue a baby from a fire. Officer Webb and two other rescue workers were later transported to York Hospital after collapsing from smoke inhalation.

Forest lifters fall short
\"He had 315 on the bar for his first lift and nailed it and the judges said his toe came off the ground,\" Forest coach David Hodges said. \"So he went 320 and missed it both times. \"It was the first time he (bombed out) in his life.\" \"It was just one of those days,\" Hodges said. \"Those weights for him have been automatic and at county he hit a 325 (on the bench). I feel bad for him. He would have had to do some work in the clean-and-jerk (to catch up) and he's not the first kid to bomb out and he won't be the last. There were a lot of them who did today.\"
