BELLFLOWER - A 20-year-old Bellflower woman who was left for dead after having her throat slashed was released from the hospital on Wednesday, said Whittier Police Department spokesman Jason Zuhlke.

Whittier police didn't know if the driver who sustained substantial injuries and the bartender who was stabbed in the shoulder were still in the hospital on Tuesday. Their names, ages and cities of residence weren't released. \"Initially one suspect sat down at the bar and produced a knife,\" he said. [Jason Zuhlke] said the bouncer thought the place was going to be robbed. \"The impact peeled back the right side of the pickup which continued traveling,\" Zuhlke said.

\"Two 14-year-old students got into an argument. One tried to stab the other with a knife,\" said Whittier police spokesman Officer Jason Zuhlke. Santa Fe Springs is patrolled by the Whititer Police. Zuhlke said he did not know what the argument was about. \"All I can tell you is that our investigation (showed) the student did have a knife and brandished it on campus,\" [Phillip Perez] said. \"No one was harmed with the knife.\"

A woman carjacker is pretty unusual, said Whittier Police spokesman Officer Jason Zuhlke. Police usually run into men carjackers. She walked up to a Whittier man coming out of the Circle K at 12604 Beverly Blvd. and asked for a ride to her car which she said needed a jump start. The man grabbed the keys out of the ignition and the two struggled over them. The wanna-be carjacker wrestled the keys away from the victim and tried to drive off with the vehicle again.
