The geometry of three-way decision
A theory of three-way decision concerns the art, science, and practice of thinking, problem solving, and information processing in threes. It explores the effective uses of triads of three things, for example, three elements, three parts, three perspectives, and so on. In this paper, I examine geometric structures, graphical representations, and semantical interpretations of triads in terms of basic geometric notions of dots, lines, triangles, circles, as well as more complex structures derived from these basic notions. I use examples from different disciplines and fields to illustrate the uses of these structures and their physical interpretations for triadic thinking, triadic computing, and triadic processing. Following the principles of triadic thinking, this paper blends together three common ways to think, namely, numerical thinking, textual thinking, and visual thinking.

Approach for Enneagram personality detection for Twitter text: a case study
Understanding people’s emotions and orientations attracts researchers nowadays. Current personality detection research concentrates on models such as the big five model, the three-factor model. The Enneagram is deeper than these models for providing a comprehensive view. This theory is a unique personality model because it illustrates what drives human behavior. This recognition helps in building smarter recommendation systems and intelligent educational systems. Enneagram personalities are realized through a long questionnaire-based test. People are not concerned about doing a test because it is time-consuming. A proposed case study employs Twitter’s text to detect Enneagram personality because it requires no time or effort. The proposed case study is based on an approach that uses a combination of ontology, lexicon, and statistical technique. This proposed case study uses the biography description text and 40 tweets of a Twitter profile text. The highest probability percentage is peacemaker personality which is 15.58%. This result means that the identified personality is the peacemaker. The outcome is equivalent to the determination of the Enneagram’s specialized people. This result promises more positive outcomes. This is the first automated approach to determine the Enneagram from text.

Enhancing Enneagram Therapy with Contemporary Research on the Conscious and Unconscious Mind
The Enneagram is a personality framework with ancient philosophical underpinnings and cross cultural roots. It outlines nine different pathways of growth for nine different personalities. In recent years, it has started to gain traction in the peer reviewed level of research. Since the Enneagram has a conceptual versatility in addressing various levels and dimensions of the human psyche, it can both contribute and benefit from cross pollinating its insights with the latest scientific research on how the human mind works. One area of research that has the potential for this type of symbiotic partnership with the Enneagram is the study of the interaction between the conscious and unconscious mind. There is rich potential for the multi-leveled integration of contemporary findings on how the conscious and unconscious mind mutually interact with one another along with insights into personality structures from the Enneagram. Multivariate Association Between Personality Beliefs and Enneagram Personality Theory: A Canonical Correlation Analysis
Objective: Personality disorders (PDs) are characterized by specific sets of dysfunctional personality beliefs which can result in distinctive behavioral patterns associated with the PD. Dysfunctional personality beliefs are maladaptive thought patterns related to people’s sense of self, interpersonal relationships, and worldview. The Enneagram Personality Theory (EPT) categorizes personality into nine interconnected types, each with distinct patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Enneagram subtypes represent a different focus or emphasis within the main type’s core motivations and behaviors. The association of EPT with various personality approaches has been studied. However, we aim to assess the relationship between EPT and personality beliefs, which has not been previously studied. Method: A sociodemographic form, Personality Belief Questionnaire-Short Form (PBQ-SF), and Enneagram Types and Subtypes Inventory (ETASI) were applied to 203 participants. Results: A canonical correlation analysis was conducted to investigate the multivariate association between nine Enneagram types and subtypes and ten personality belief variables. The analysis unveiled four significant functions for the association between Enneagram types and personality beliefs. Function 1 was contributed by Types 3, 8, and 5 and was negatively related to borderline and dependent beliefs, and positively related to schizoid beliefs. Function 2 featured obsessive-compulsive beliefs and was related to Types 1 and 6. Function 3 was related to histrionic, narcissistic, and antisocial beliefs and Types 2,3,7, and 8. Function 4 presented schizoid, borderline, and narcissistic beliefs, with Type 4 as the predominant predictor. Among the subtypes, only the self-preservation subtype was correlated with schizoid beliefs. Conclusions: The results revealed that EPT comprises multidimensional layers that vary according to specific personality beliefs and types. Personality beliefs were found to be aligned with the core characteristics of the respective types.

Exploring leadership personality: A key for higher education transformation
Leadership plays a critical role in organisational transformation and is strongly shaped by leaders’ personalities and the organisational culture of collective behaviours, attitudes, and values. Literature has indicated that executives’ personalities are an important factor impacting organisational strategy and structure. Organisational culture, often considered the ‘fingerprint’ of leadership, reflects the organisation’s collective personality. This article examines leadership and organisational personality through the combined results of the iEQ9 Enneagram personality assessment, conducted with 89 middle and senior academic leaders at a South African university between 2020 and 2022. This research, conducted as part of a leadership development programme, examined how leader personality influences efforts to drive organisational transformation. The Enneagram personality framework was utilised as a lens for analysis. Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to interpret and discuss leader personalities and their potential impact on organisational culture and strategic leadership in transformation.ContributionBy integrating leadership, organisational culture, and strategic insights, this article offers practical guidance for higher education institutions (HEIs) aiming to strengthen leadership development programmes and manage transformational change effectively. As such, it makes a valuable contribution to the field of leadership personality and its implications for organisational effectiveness, especially within the South African higher education system, where transformation has redefined leadership.

Combining the enneagram and narrative therapy for adult ego development
The Enneagram and Narrative Therapy are two frameworks that have potential for unique integration to combine therapeutic effects for issues related to Adult Ego Development. The Enneagram offers a centuries-tested personality framework that has accumulated ancient wisdom from multiple spiritual traditions. Narrative Therapy offers postmodern insights into helping clients overcome their self-limiting narratives through creative interventions involving the medium of story. The nature of these two frameworks as well as their commonalities, complementary differences, and synergistic potential can help clients with Adult Ego Development issues. These issues will be explored along with an example of their integration.
