Environmental Pollution Evaluation of Urban Rail Transit Construction Based on Entropy Weight Method
2021
With the development of cities, urban rail transit has entered into a stage of rapid construction and development, but the environmental pollution caused by rail transit construction cannot be ignored. To evaluate the environmental pollution of urban rail transit construction, an evaluation system for the environmental pollution induced by urban rail transit construction was established by using the literature survey method and the entropy weight method. The evaluation index system involved three first-level indicators of the physical environment, natural environment and social environment, and 11 second-level indicators. The impact of XA-XDM project construction on urban environmental pollution in Wuhan, China was evaluated by using the evaluation system. Results show that the evaluation score of XA-XDM project is 76.5, which means that the XA-XDM project construction has a strong impact on environmental pollution. It should be paid to the prevention, control and monitoring of various pollution indicators, reducing environmental pollution, and realizing green construction.

Geological environment is a resource base, environmental base, and engineering base for human socioeconomic activities. The main function of the geological environment is to provide stable and safe living space and essential resources for the existence and development of human society. However, geological environmental problems become increasingly prominent in some provinces in China due to fragility of the geological environment, uneven population distribution, backward economic development, and massive construction projects. The function of geological environments in some provinces to support sustainable economic and social development is evidently insufficient, and the threshold values of their geological environmental bearing capacity nearly reach the upper limit. For example, Henan Province, China, an evaluation index system for geological environmental bearing capacity, was established from three aspects, as follows: natural hazard, geological disaster, and disaster control. The weights of evaluation indexes were calculated using the variation coefficient method. Finally, the geological environmental bearing capacity of Henan Province during 2010-2018 was measured through the comprehensive evaluation method. Results showed that the constructed evaluation index system for geological environmental bearing capacity, which consisted of 34 indexes, was scientific and reasonable. During 2010-2018, the geological environmental bearing capacity of Henan Province was superior or excellent. Geological environmental bearing capacity can be improved by reinforcing the construction of legal rules and laws for geological environmental protection, carrying out research work regarding geological environmental bearing capacity, launching geological environmental monitoring and early warning system construction, and implementing feasibility demonstration for the geological environment of major construction projects. The study results can provide practical guidance and reference to realize the predictive analysis of geological environmental bearing capacity and coordinate human socioeconomic activities and geological environment.

Considering the green development initiatives vigorously promoted by China, this paper constructs an evaluation index system that covers six areas, including resource utilization, pollution control, living environment, ecological protection, circular economy, and quality of economic growth. This paper also establishes an improved comprehensive evaluation model by using the method of Vertical Projection Distance-Set Pair Analysis in order to optimize the traditional method of Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution. Based on the official data released by China, this paper quantitatively analyzes the green development level of 21 provinces in eastern and western China in the aforementioned six areas from 2005 to 2020, and makes a regional comparison between eastern and western China. The results show that the level of green development in eastern China is significantly higher than that in western China. In 2020, when the research period ends, the comprehensive evaluation values of green development in all the eastern provinces, except Hebei, are higher than 4.0; meanwhile, no province in the western region has a comprehensive evaluation value exceeding 4.0 in 2020, and there is a large gap between the eastern region and the western region in areas such as economic growth quality and pollution control. On this basis, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions in terms of the coordinated green development of the eastern and western regions of China in the future.

The Beautiful China Initiative (BCI) is a plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation as well as for China to fulfill the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Chinese government’s “five-in-one” approach provides strategic arrangements for developing the BCI, and President Xi Jinping proposed a timetable and “road map” for the BCI at the National Conference on Ecological and Environmental Protection. Nevertheless, the theoretical basis, evaluation index system, evaluation criteria and effectiveness of the BCI are currently unclear. This paper begins by exploring the basic content of the BCI from narrow and broad perspectives. It regards the theory of human-nature harmonious coexistence and the five-in-one beauty theory as the core theoretical bases of the BCI and constructs a five-element BCI evaluation index system (ecological environment, green development, social harmony, system perfection and cultural heritage) and utilizes the assessment method of the United Nations’ Human Development Index to assess scientifically the effectiveness of the BCI in 341 prefecture-level cities. The results show the average BCI index (the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beauty Index) score to be 0.28, which is quite low, while the average scores for the individual element indexes of the ecological environment index, green development index, social harmony index, system perfection index and cultural heritage index are 0.6, 0.22, 0.29, 0.22 and 0.07, respectively. All of these are relatively low values, with relatively large discrepancies in regional development, indicating that progress in the BCI is generally slow and unbalanced. To realize the BCI’s timetable and roadmap to a high quality and high standard, it is suggested that a common system for evaluating the progress of the BCI is developed and promulgated so that dynamic monitoring and phased evaluations can take place; BCI technical assessment standards are compiled and published; BCI comprehensive zoning is undertaken; pilot projects adapted to local conditions are launched in BCI sample areas; and BCI results are incorporated into performance indicators at all levels of government.

Urban Sustainability Evaluation under the Modified TOPSIS Based on Grey Relational Analysis
2019
The evaluation of urban sustainability plays a crucial role in the process of the sustainable development of cities. To decrease subjectivity and attain a comprehensive evaluation, this paper develops an evaluation method using the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). First, an evaluation index system including 39 indices and three categories (economic, social, and ecological development) is established; second, based on the index system, a modified TOPSIS, in which the entropy method is used to assign weights to each index according to its evaluation score and grey relation analysis is used to reduce the uncertainty existing in the process of evaluation, is presented to rank the sustainability level of cities. Finally, an example with the sustainability evaluation of 16 cities in the Anhui province of China is introduced to verify the effectiveness of the model.

The bayesian network analysis model of the diversity culture path of the garden talents
2025
The study designed a diversified cultivation path for gardening talents based on the “integration of education and training”. A three-level comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed from the dimensions of the “teaching” path and the “education” path. On this basis, a comprehensive evaluation model based on Bayesian network was established to analyze the role of indicators, construct subjective and objective evaluation sub-Bayesian networks, and form a comprehensive evaluation Bayesian network. After validation, the overall accuracy of the model reached 81.3%. The model was used to analyze the diversified training path of garden talents based on the design of “integration of education and education”, and the overall satisfaction of the path was high, and the probability of evaluation as “excellent” was as high as 92%, but there was still room for improvement in the “teaching” path. For this reason, this paper further optimizes the diversified cultivation path of gardening talents through precise disciplinary positioning, clear guiding ideology and formulation of professional curriculum system.

Distributed Energy System (DES), a comprehensive energy utilization system distributed on user side, has been recognized as a promising energy utilization method that can improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and achieve sustainable development. However, the DES is usually driven by various energy sources, and it is a complex issue to decide the composition of the system. To improve the incompleteness of a single subjective or objective assessment. So, it is urgent to find a comprehensive and efficient decision-making method for different systems. This paper states a total of 23 indicators in 4 criterion group: technology, economy, environment, and society. Based on the combination of the order relation analysis method (G1) and the anti-entropy weighting method (a-EWM), a comprehensive evaluation model, order relation-anti-entropy weight model (G1-aEWM), of distributed energy is established. This comprehensive evaluation model is used to analyze a hospital in Henan and find the final solution for the distributed energy system of the hospital. The empirical analysis results verify the rationality of the comprehensive evaluation model and provide an evaluation basis for the establishment of distributed energy systems in the future.

Barriers to digital services trade: Evaluation of their restrictiveness with application of Brier Score
2025
Research background: The improvement in digital transmission has driven the rapid development of digital services trade; however, it comes with more barriers to it. International comparisons of the restriction levels of digital services trade are crucial for promoting its liberalization, thereby obtaining economic gains. To provide a reliable measurement of barriers to digital services trade, it is necessary to construct a reasonable evaluation index system and ensure the objectivity of the determination of measurement indicator weights. Purpose of the article: This study aims to develop a novel method for measuring the restrictiveness of barriers to digital services trade, revealing the current barriers to digital services trade in various economies. Methods: This study establishes an evaluation index system for barriers to digital services trade by using the Brier Score to screen original evaluation indicators. Then, based on the established evaluation index system, the Brier Score is used to hierarchically determine the weights of evaluation indicators. Additionally, it compares the barriers to digital services trade from the total evaluation index and the evaluation index in five policy areas. Findings & value added: Comparative analyses show that most economies have restrictive policies in digital services trade, and they are mainly implemented through two policy areas: infrastructure and payment system. In these two areas, economies face barriers related to digital infrastructure, discriminatory access to payment settlement methods. We also make methodological contributions by using a novel method to measure the restrictiveness of barriers to digital services trade. To the best of our knowledge, no study has integrated the Brier Score with trade policy analysis. Our method improves the overall trade restriction evaluation capability of the evaluation index system and ensures that the weights reflect the level of trade restrictions on the measurement indicators.
