Cymbellonitzschia chilena sp. nov. (Bacillariophyta), una nueva especie de diatomea recolectada en Laguna La Punta, Salar de Atacama, Altiplano Chileno
Se describe a Cymbellonitzschia chilena como una especie nueva de diatomea. El taxón se caracteriza por poseer valvas angostas, arqueadas, con el lado dorsal fuertemente convexo, el ventral cóncavo a sub-linear, con extremos delgados, rostrado-redondeados. Eje apical 20.2-35.0 μm. Canal del rafe marginal, rafe continuo, ubicado en el lado dorsal o ventral de la valva. Estrías paralelas, 20-24 en 10 μm. En vista conectival el frústulo es rectangular, curvado. Se señalan las diferencias existentes con las restantes especies del género.
A new species of Molossus (Chiroptera: Molossidae) from Argentina
Fourteen species of bats in the genus Molossus currently are recognized in the Neotropical region; only three are known from Argentina. Here, we describe a new species based on specimens collected in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, in the Pampa ecoregion. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by its general strong orange coloration, forearm length > 41 mm, dorsal hairs bicolor and long (∼5 mm), infraorbital foramen laterally oriented, and long and forward-projected (pincer-like) upper incisors. The external and cranial morphology of the new species are described and comparisons made with other species of similar size and with those present in its distributional area. Wilcoxon tests and multivariate analyses (nonmetric multidimensional scaling ordination and PERMANOVA) were carried out to determine the morphometric differences between the new species and other seven species of Molossus. The species tree, estimated by *BEAST from the concatenation of mitochondrial and nuclear genes, suggests that Molossus sp. nov. is basal within the clade formed by {{M. aztecus, M. rufus}, {{M. currentium, M. pretiosus}, M. sinaloae}} with a posterior probability of 0.82.

A new species of Chiloschista from a restricted area in Bhutan is described and illustrated. It is featured with color photos and a map showing its only known locality. The new species is compared with the other three spotted Chiloschista species from Bhutan: C. densiflora, C. gelephuense, and C. himalaica, which have similarly colored flowers, but different lip structure, and the differences are explained and illustrated. Una nueva especie de Hexamermis Steiner, 1924 (Nematoda, Mermithidae) parásito de Epilachna paenulata (Germar, 1824) (Coleopera, Coccinellidae) en Argentina
Se describe a Hexamermis bonaerensis sp. n. un parásito de Epilachna paenulata (Germar, 1824) (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae) en Argentina. Se caracteriza por tener los anfídios de tamaño mediano y de forma oval redondeada. La vagina es musculosa y ligeramente protuberante, con una rama descendente que forma un asa antes de unirse al útero. Presenta tres hileras de papilas genitales: la ventrolateral en una hilera con trece papilas; la hilera ventral con dos papilas preanales simples, tres pares y dos preanales únicas, y con cinco pares de papilas postanales. A new species of Lepanthes (Pleurothallidinae) lacking an appendix with rabbit ear-like petals endemic to Colombia
Abstract A new species of Lepanthes from the department of Antioquia apparently restricted to the north-central Andes of Colombia is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to L. alcicornis; however, it can be easily distinguished by the transversally lobulate petals that resemble the ears of a rabbit, the reniform lip with sub-oblong basal lobes surrounding the column, and the absence of an appendix on the lip.
A new species of Cosmetocleithrum (Monogenea, Dactylogyridae) from the gills of Auchenipterichthys coracoideus (Siluriformes, Auchenipteridae) from the Peruvian Amazonia
Abstract In this study, a new species of Monogenoidea, Cosmetocleithrum amazonensis n. sp., parasitizing the gills of the silurid Auchenipterichthys coracoideus (Eigenmann & Allen, 1942), is documented. Cosmetocleithrum amazonensis n. sp. is distinguished from all other congeners by possessing an elongated, sclerotized, and sinuous male copulatory organ (MCO) with poorly defined spirals, a sclerotized border at the base, and the distal region supported by the accessory piece. The accessory piece is a single, robust, and non-articulated plate with the MCO. This study presents the third record of a Monogenoidea species in an Auchenipteridae (Siluriformes) host from Peru.

Se describe e ilustra los adultos del macho de Histioea magistrae, nueva especie de Euchromiina (Arctiini), de la Amazonía sudeste de Perú, comparándola con Histioea hoffmannsi Rothschild, 1911, especie semejante.

Se describe una nueva especie, Omolabus (Sternolaboides) sokolovi Legalov n. sp. de Satipo, centro de Perú. Se registran nuevos datos para Hybolabus ater (Olivier, 1789), Omolabus (Perulabus) peruanus Legalov, 2004, O. (Pseudomolabus) westerduijni Legalov, 2008 y O. (Sternolaboides) ecuadorensis Legalov, 2007. Basada en la literatura y exámenes de muestras, se elabora una lista de las 18 especies peruanas de Attelabidae, pertenecientes a ocho géneros de dos tribus, tambien se presentan sus distribuciones en Perú. A new glassfrog of the genus Centrolene (Amphibia, Centrolenidae) from the Subandean Kutukú Cordillera, eastern Ecuador
We describe a new species of Centrolene from the Subandean Cordillera of Kutukú in southeastern Ecuador. The new species differs from all other glassfrogs by the combination of the following characters: presence of processes of vomers but without vomerine teeth; humeral spines in males; dorsum green with light green dots and without dark marks; dorsal skin with abundant tubercles; all visceral peritonea translucent (except for pericardium); and small body size (snout-vent length 21.5–21.9 mm in adult males). The new species is sister to Centrolene camposi from the Western Cordillera of the Andes of southwestern Ecuador, and together they form a clade with C. condor from the Subandean Cóndor Cordillera in southeastern Ecuador. Our time tree suggests that the new species originated at the end of the Pliocene. In addition, we present new information for C. zarza , expanding its geographic range across the southeastern Andes and the Kutukú and Cóndor cordilleras, amending its definition and diagnosis, and offering new information on its natural history and extinction risk. We also discuss the taxonomic status of Ecuadorian populations reported as C. huilensis and conclude that they are C. muelleri based on their close phylogenetic relationships and morphological similarity to samples of C. muelleri from Peru. Centrolene huilensis is a valid species and not closely related to C. muelleri .
