بهذا الكتاب أو بما أودعته بين دفتيه من الآراء سأحدث حدثا وأقيم قيامة وأشعل نارا وقد أكون به في عرف قوم داعيا إلى بدعة وجالبا على نفسي محنة لا يشفع في أني نويت خيرا وقضدت نفعا وطلبت حياة وأردت فائدة، بهذا الكتاب أشير إلى نقص أرجو له الكمال وأذكر عيوبا أتمنى لها الزوال وأدل على طقولس دينية أسيء استعمالها أو حرفت عن مواضعها طالبا ارجاعها إلى ما كانت عليه في سالف الأجيال، بهذا الكتيب أجاهد في سبيل إحياء كنيسة ميته أو قريبة من الموت هي الكنيسة القبطية.
