تنتمي رواية \"السيدة دلووي\" للكاتبة فيرجينيا وولف لأدب ما بعد الحرب العالمية الأولى الذي انبرى لوصف حياة المجتمعات الأوروبية والطبقات الأرستقراطية التي انهارت جراء الحرب ومعاناة الناس من آثار الصراعات بين الدول الكبرى ويبدو البعد النفسي للكاتبة وولف واضحا على شخصية الرواية الرئيسة السيدة دلووي حيث كانت تعاني الروائية وولف من نوبات جنون واضطرابات نفسية ربما سببها الإنهيار العصبي الذي تكرر عليها بعد وفاة أمها وهي طفلة ثم وفاة أبيها وهي فتاة يافعة وتعد رواية السيدة دلووي من أهم روايات الأدب النسائي الذي تستطيع الراوية فيه الغوص إلى أعماق الشخصيات واستنباط دواخلهم بشكل مثير ومذهل مستخدمة تقنية تيار الوعي السردي لتصبح هذه الرواية قاعدة ومفتاحا لفهم تيار الوعي برمته.
