هذا الكتاب سجل يومي لأحد نواخذة السفر الشراعي الكويتي من الجيل الأخير الذي اضطر إلى ترك السفر الشراعي بعد ظهور النفط في الكويت ليعمل في وظيفة حكومية ثم بالأعمال الحرة حتى وفاته وقد برع النوخذة مفلح صالح كما يتضح من روزنامته في استخدام أساليب القياس والملاحة وهو يقود سفينته من بندر لآخر وعبر المحيط الهندي إلى السواحل الأفريقية مستخدما تلك الأساليب التي تعلمها على يد سابقيه من نواخذة الكويت.
