إن المداواة والعلاج بالإيمان هو نوع من العلاجات، والذي بني على أساس أن للعقل قوة، وقدرة وسيطرة كاملة على الجسم في شفاء كل أسقامه وآلامه، متى كان الشخص المريض ذا إيمان كاف بالقوة والمقدرة الإلهية على الشفاء، وبصورة يشفي فيها تماما. ويستفيد معظم المتداويين بالإيمان نصوصا من القرآن الكريم يعتقدون في مدى فعاليتها وسيطرتها على الأمراض، ويعترفون فيها للمولى سبحانه وتعالى بكامل السيطرة على المرض والأمراض، حيث إنه سبحانه هو الوحيد الذي إذا أراد شيئا قال له كن فيكون، ولا توجد أخرى تشاركه في ذلك، ونحن نعلم أن الله الطبية والفسيولوجية في الكون بأسره. وآيات الشفاء الموجودة في القرآن الكريم كثيرة ومتعددة النواحي والمفاهيم وتظهر مقدرة البارئ الشافي سبحانه وتعالى على الشفاء المطلق.
