يتحدث هذا الكتاب \"روزنامة النوخذة\" عن قيام النوخذة يعقوب بعشر سفرات منذ عام (1364هـ ـ 1945م) حتى عام (1372هـ ـ 1953م) وكانت الأولى في البوم المسمى (المرفق) ملك يوسف محمد العثمان أما في السفرة العاشرة فكانت السفينة التي يقودها شراعية ومزودة بالمحرك وكانت هذه خاتمة المطاف بالنسبة إليه حيث ترك قيادة السفن إلى نوع مختلف من الحياة حياة التجارة الحرة في الكويت بعد اكتشاف النفط بها وهذه الروزنامة سجل حافل بالمعلومات والأحداث الخاصة بالسفرات المذكورة وكل ما يتصل بالحياة على ظهر السفينة.
