أسأل عن كل شيء كما يفعل الفلاسفة القدامى وأفكر وأبحث عن الجواب، ثم أكتب كل ذلك في يومياتي وأنا أعيش في الغابة كما تتوقعون، فالغابة مخبري الطبيعي وجميع حيوانات الغابة تستفيد من تجاربي ويلجؤون إلي كلما وقعوا في ورطة ويسألونني كلما خطر ببالهم سؤال... شيء جميل أن تكون فيلسوفا، لكن صبر الفيلسوف أيضا له حدود... فهم يغضبونني أحيانا... لكنهم لا يقصرون في طعامي وشرابي مشكورين وألقى الترحيب والاحترام حيثما ذهبت. آه يا أحبائي ! أحبكم كما تحبونني !... تجدون في يومياتي معلومات كثيرة مدهشة ومن أجل الوصول إلى التفسيرات العلمية المدهشة يكفي أن تقلبوا صفحات يومياتي !...
