يعتبر هذا الكتاب متن أبي شجاع في الفقه الشافعي المسمى الغاية والتقريب للقاضي أحمد بن الحسين الأصفهاني من أكثر كتب الشافعية تداولا بين الطلاب، لإيجاز عباراته وسهولة ألفاظه ولكن لا تخلو بعض أحكامه من الضعف وبعض شروطه من النقص وبعض ألفاظه من اللبس فلذا قام المحقق بتحقيق الكتاب ووضع التعليقات اللازمة عليه وتخريجه وتبيين أدلته بأسلوب عملي رصين.
