في سياق الندوات الدورية التي تنظمها مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية والمخصصة لمواكبة تطورات القضية الفلسطينية في مجالاتها كافة، تتميز هذه الندوة بأنها تتصدى لدراسة إسرائيل سواء في شؤونها الإقتصادية والاجتماعية والأيديولوجية، أو في تطور موقفها من قضايا التسوية والاستيطان والأقلية العربية في مناطق 1948 وغيرها. والأهم في ذلك هو أن جماعة الدراسيون هم متخصصون بإنتاج الدراسات العلمية عن إسرائيل وقضايا الصراع العربي-الإسرائيلي، ودرس معظمهم في مدارس إسرائيل وتخرجوا من جامعاتها، ويعيشون فيها ويعانون ما يعاني أهلهم جراء تمييز وقهر ودونية تطبع حياة أبناء الأقلية العربية. يتضمن الكتاب الأوراق الغنية والمعمقة والمتنوعة التي قدمها الباحثون المتخصصون والمعقبون على هذه الدراسات.
