هذا الكتاب هو تحقيق لكتاب نفاضة الجراب والذي ألفه صاحبة لسان الدين الخطيب فى أواخر أيامه ومن هنا جاء سبب الأسم وقد ألف هذا الكتاب بالمغرب بعد صرفه عن الأندلس واستقراره في المغرب التى قتل فيها بمدينة فاس ويصف المؤلف في هذا الكتاب الرحلة التي قام بها فى ربوع المغرب الأقصى خلال فترة منفاه وقد ألف هذا الكتاب فى أربعة أجزاء لم يصلنا منها إلا هذا الجزء وهذا بسبب أنه بعد قد تم الاستيلاء على كل ممتلكاته وإحراق كتبه ولكن الناس احتفضوا بهذا الجزء من كتابه وواخفوه عن الأعين.
