\"إلجام العوام عن علم الكلام\" يعد الكتاب رسالة في مذهب أهل السلف وجاء الكتاب لرد عن سؤال عن صحة مذهب أهل السلف وما احتوت من تشويهات أهل التشبيه فيما يخص صفات الله تعالى وكانت إجابة الكاتب تحتوي شرحا لأقوال المشبهة والرد عليهم وإظهار تهافت أقوالهم وإظهار صحة مذهب أهل السلف فهذا الكتاب هو شرح وبيان لاعتقاد السلف وما يجب على عموم الخلق أن يعتقدوه دون تعصب لمذهب فالحق أولى أن يتبع، والإنصاف أولى بالمحافظة عليه ولا سيما أن القضية عقدية وليس للاجتهاد فيها مسرح.
