قام مؤلف هذا الكتاب \"سعد الدين مسعود التفتازاني الهروي\" فيه بتقديم شرح ملخص لكتاب المفتاح لصاحبه \"خطيب دمشقي وأسماه \"المطول\" وهو ما بين أيدينا الآن ويتناول فيه علم المعاني وأحوال الإسناد الخبري من أحوال المسند إليه كذلك الاستفهام والأمر ثم ينتقل بعدها إلى الفن الثاني وهو علم البيان وأخيرا الفن الثالث علم البديع هذا بالإضافة إلى حاشية الميرسيد شريف احتواها هامش الكتاب.
