إنها قصة فتى اسمه \"ساتورينو\" والجميع يدعونه \"نينو\" ظل يطير في الفضاء على متن لوح تزلج وسط الأمواج الكريستالية الملونة لحلقات كوكبه، زحل. الكوكب الأجمل بين كل كواكب المجموعة الشمسية والأحب إلى قلبه وفي لحظة من الزمان ومن دون أي تفسير، حدث شيء غريب ! لقد فقدت حلقات \"زحل\" ألوانها واختفى الشفق القطبي ! لم يكن بوسع \"نينو\" (الفتى القادم من زحل) تخيل كيف ستكون الحياة من دون ألوان الحلقات ؛ فبدأ البحث عن الألوان التي يريدها كي يعيد بها إشعاع حلقات كوكبه الجميل، فطار بين الكواكب، حتى وصل إلى كوكب لا يشبه أيا من الكواكب الأخرى ووجد فتى سحريا غامضا يقول له بصوت حازم : \"الألوان غير موجودة ! \". هل الألوان في السماء حقيقة أم أنها خيال وكيف تتشكل ؟ هذا ما سيخبر به \"نينو\" الأطفال عندما يعود إليهم من رحلته الفضائية حول الكواكب والنجوم والشمس.
