توثق قصة (رافيل) للكاتب الفرنسي جان إشنوز السنين العشرة الأخيرة من حياة المؤلف الموسيقي الفرنسي موريس رافيل وأصدرها في النهاية مشروع كلمة للترجمة، الموالي لهيئة أبوظبي للسياحة والثقافة وترجمها إلى العربية وليد السويركي وتجيء القصة في إطار سلسلة ترجمات الأدب الفرنسي التي يصدرها المشروع ويشرف أعلاها ويراجعها الشاعر والأكاديمي العراقي كاظم جهاد وتشكل الحكاية أنموذجا دالا على أسلوب الكاتب المتقشف والباروكي ويستحضر فيها بصورة مكثفة محاولة المؤلف الموسيقي الفرنسي موريس رافيل، مركزا على السنوات العشرة الأخيرة من عمره وآثر الروائي معالجة تلك السنوات العشرة الأخيرة لأن بها كل تناقضات حياة الجسم والروح وبالهشاشة التي تتخفى خلف العبقرية وتغذيها وبلحظات الوجود المتواضع وما يتخللها من ملل متسلط، إضافة إلى ذلك حادث السير.
