حاول هذا البحث الموسوم ب(الصورة الفنية في شعر ابن زيدون) أن يزيح الغموض عن هذه التجربة الشعرية المعقدة، مستعينا بالنظريات النقدية الحديثة في وضع تصوره النظري للصورة الشعرية ؛ بوصفها خاصية الشعر الرئيسة، وموظفا ما أمدته به المناهج الحديثة من أدوات في العثور على مفاتيح النص الزيتوني (الرموز) التي ولج بها فضاء النص، يتضمن الكتاب ثلاثة فصول، الفصل الأول : صياغة مفهوم نظري لمصطلح (الصورة الشعرية)، الفصل الثاني : أهمية حصر الرموز وتصنيفها واستخلاص دلالاتها في دراسة المتون الشعرية، الفصل الثالث : الذوات التي سيطرت على مساحة النص الزيتوني.
