هذا الكتاب تعريف بسوق عكاظ فهو يلخص قصة السوق قديما، منذ أن نشأ قبل الإسلام حتى توقفه سنة 129 للهجرة، وقصته حديثا بعد أن أعيد اكتشاف وتحديد موقعة الجغرافي التاريخي في العهد السعودي، حيث تم إحياؤه بعد حوالي 1300 سنة. فاشتهر سوق عكاظ بأنه ملتقى أدبي يتبارى فيه الشعراء فصار كل اجتماع على الشعر العربي يسمي عكاظ.
