تتناول إحدى أوراق الكتاب \"أسئلة النص المسرحي من تجربة شخصية\"، أسئلة اعتبرها الكاتب مهمة في ثقافة النص المسرحي، وقد كتب الجدلية إما من بعض المراجع النقدية العربية والعالمية، أو صيغت من التجربة الخاصة به، وهو استيحاء من حال كاتب بلا مسرح. ولا تحاول الورقة، بأي حال، الإجابة عن أسئلتها، بإصرار مسبق من الكاتب، ولسبب آخر أن طبيعة الورقة بحث علمي، يعتبر العثيم أن هذا الكتاب تجربة مقرونة بالتطبيق لكتابة المسرح الغنائي وأشعار من التراث، بلغة المسرح وطقوسه الغنائية التي ترفع الحدث. ووجهة نظر العثيم في هذه التجربة مقرونة بأعمال تطبيقية مفادها أن الكاتب المسرحي بحاجة إلى قراءة تجارب كتاب قبله.
