تفيد تلك القصة بأن اليهود قضو 40 عاما في الصحراء ولكنهم، وخلال بحثهم عن مصادر للمياه، نزحوا إلى الوادي الذي سمي فيما بعد باسم نبيهم موسى عليه السلام واستقروا فيه. يأخذنا هذا الوادي إلى آثار وأطلال شعب الأنباط بمنطقة البتراء الواقعة في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية المعروفة لنا اليوم. كما تفيد القصة بأن الديانة المسيحية بدأت فعليا في الأردن حيث تم تعميد المسيح عندما كان عمره 30 عاما على الضفة الشرقية لنهر الأردن ثم بدأ في التبشير بالدين الجديد، ما يجعل من الأردن مهد المسيحية الفعلي، أي أن الأردن هي أيضا أرض مقدسة لهذه الديانة.
