الكتاب ترجمة لحياة الشيخ عبد العزيز الرشيد مؤرخ الكويت الأول الذي أسهمت جهوده في بناء هذا الوطن، وامتدت إلى خارجه، فتأثرت الكويت على يده بالحركة الثقافية والفكرية في العالمين العربي والإسلامي وأثرت فيها، فكان بذلك جسر التواصل والتفاعل الحي بين مجتمع الكويت وأمته العربية والإسلامية وقد قدم الكتاب متابعة مفصلة لحياة الشيخ عبد العزيز الرشيد منذ مولده حتى وفاته، وكشف كثيرا من أعماله ونشاطاته التي لم تسجل من قبل، فتطلعنا هذه الدراسة عن سيرته الذاتية على جهوده في أندونيسيا، وسعيه للتوفيق بين الجماعات العربية المقيمة بها وموقفه من الصراعات الدائرة بين تلك الجماعات.
